Grian was just as excited as any other hermit for the new season of Hermitcraft - his second season - as it would bring a few new players, one of them being Etho - a player almost as legendary as Grian himself, even though no one knew the parrot was the famous admin of EVO. Etho was probably the hermit Grian had heard the most about and was the one he looked forward to meeting the most. At spawn, while the introduction to the server was happening, he caught a glimpse of the masked man; one eye was red, and fox ears emerged from his silver hair, twitching at every sound. He looked... familiar.
The blonde decided to approach him out of curiosity. "Hello! Etho right?" He asked and the older man turned to face him with kind eyes, "yes, that would be me! You're Grian right?" He asked and Grian mock-fanned his face with his hands, "OMG the Minecraft legend Etho knows my name!" He fan-girled which earned a laugh from the other. The two continued to make small-talk as the other hermits slowly left to start up their bases.
"So Etho, tell me a fun fact about yourself, something that I don't know from the stories" Grian smiled brightly at the other hermit, who thought for a second before replying, "I know a bit of Japanese as I went to High School in Japan for a few years, before dropping out." Grian paled at the mention of High School and Japan in the same sentence which didn't go unnoticed by the fox. "Is something wrong?" He asked and the blonde quickly gained his composure again. "Don't tell me you went to YHS" he said and Etho diverted his eyes. "I did - but I promise I didn't have anything to do with the whole Taurtis situation, I transferred before that thing happened" He explained and Grian sighed relieved, "Oh, good"
"I did have a friend over there and he is coming to visit the server and stay for a while, I'm sure you'll love him!" Etho continued and Grian froze again, but quickly rebuilt his facade with a bright smile, crossing fingers and hoping his friend wasn't someone who would recognize him as the victim - he was not ready for that conversation, he had stayed anonymous for a reason even when the story of him, Sam and Taurtis had spread all around Minecraft. "Well, I should be going! I need to set up for this new season!" Grian waved cheerfully and turned on his back, walking away from his new friend.

Season 7 went along swimmingly, Grian had made a starter base in the form of a hobbit hole in the jungle, the surrounding biome matching the colorful parrot-wings on his back. He had quickly realized that he and his best friend, Mumbo Jumbo, had both made hobbit-holes, unplanned matching, so the builder had made a great effort to connect their bases with a minecart mailing-system. He had also set up a shop in the shopping-district, a small barge, in the middle of a lake, the parrot had big plans to expand when he eventually got the money. The parrot had even made the foundations to his grand mansion a short distance from his hobbit-hole.

Everything was going great for the parrot and the other hermits, and Etho's friend hadn't shown up yet.

"Etho!" Grian yelled as he landed beside the silver-haired fox. "How are you?"

"I'm great, thanks" Etho's eyes smiled, "Do you need anything?"

"No, just curious, when does your friend join?"

"Oh, he should've joined yesterday but I'm sure he'll join either today or tomorrow"

"Great! I'm looking forward to it!" The blonde chirped but thought the opposite, anyone who could recognize him and his past was unwelcome, he didn't need the reminder, and he definitely didn't need the eyes of pity from the hermits.
