Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
The noise echoed in my ears and my head as I moved bacon around the pan.
Boom. Boom. Boom. Boo-
"De? You alright?" Her voices broke through the drumming in my ears.
I paused and turned to face her. She was standing in the doorway of the kitchen. She was wearing my flannel and it practically swallowed her. I had to fight off a smile.
I coughed. "Yeah, I'm good kid. How are you?"
She tisked and walked over to me, her footsteps quiet. She stopped about a foot away, and looked me in the eyes. Seeming satisfied with my answer, she looked at the pan.
"Did you make enough for me?" She asked, a smile on her lips.
I laughed and shook my head. "Sure. Not like Sam's going to eat it anyway. You got the coffee?"
She nodded and squeezed my arm gently. I froze, the mark quieting down and I felt the power, the bloodlust go away for a second.
"Sure, De. Just don't burn it this time, yeah?" Then she moved her hand, and it all came rushing back. I shook my head at her moving form, getting the thoughts to go back into the back of my mind.
"Dean Winchester does not burn bacon," I said as I pointed the spatula at her.
She laughed and turned back to the machine, and all I got to watch was her shaking shoulders.
What do you do to me?
The second time it happened, it was after an asshole college kid pissed me off at a bar. It was after a successful hunt, and Y/n had suggested going to a bar. To cool off she said. But I knew the real reason behind it. I was too invested in the hunt, and she just wanted to calm me down.
I had grabbed the two beers and when I turned around, there was some snarky kid up in her person space. Trying unsuccessfully to flirt. I knew she could handle herself, but when he grabbed her ass, I exploded.
"Hey!" I yelled at the kid, dropping the beers at a random table and stalking over there. "What the hell do you think your doing?"
"Chill old man," he said laughing. "Just trying to get a taste."
The mark spiked and I felt the feeling of bloodlust come over me. Before I could rear my arm back, Y/n had already knocked him to the ground.
He fell to the ground, nose pouring of blood. Y/n squatted down beside him, a sarcastic smile on her face.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not your menu. My dish is only available to adults, not the kids menu." She then stood up, turned my way and smiled.
"You wanna taste, old man?"
I laughed and put an arm around her shoulder. "I don't want a taste sweetheart, I want the whole meal."
She laughed and let me lead her to the table. The beers were still cold and we could still hear the kid groaning in the background.
"Dean," she said after she took a drink.
"Yes sweetheart?" I put down my beer.
"Thank you for letting me fight my own battles."
"I always got your back, kid. Don't worry about it."
She smiled again, and leaned over to kiss my check. Again, everything around me disappeared and all I saw was her.

"Y/n?"I yelled as I looked around the warehouse we were in. "Y/n!"
