So this is the next and final part of the Other Companion series. I apologize for the wait for the final chapter and I am grateful for the support. But enough from me, onto the chapter!
Rose?
Rose!
"Rose?" Y/n asked as she felt herself get cold. "You got to be with Rose?"
It was all too much. The last time Y/n got to see Rose, she was forced to stay in the other dimension with her father and mother. "Bad Wolf Bay" was a place she vowed herself never to visit again, because the pain was way too much. Rose was her family, her sister in this cruel world. And when she left, she took a piece of Y/n with her.
Y/n could feel herself getting light-headed. Before she could ask the one question she needed to know, blackness washed over her.
Sam caught her instantly. "Y/n!"
Dean came out of the room quickly, eyeing the two others before looking at Sam. "What happened?"
"She fainted," The Doctor said before looking at the brothers. "I didn't think she would take the news like that."
"Well," Dean spat as he jerked his head to the hotel room. "You haven't been around lately. How were you supposed to know?"
Clara took a step back like she had been slapped. As she went to say something, the Doctor shook his head. Dean just sighed and motioned them towards the room that Sam had taken Y/n through.
Sam disappeared into a connecting room before returning shortly, turning the lights off and keeping the lamps on. He studied both Clara and the Doctor before taking a seat on the edge of the bed in the middle of the room. "So you're him, huh? The one she dreams about?"
"She dreams about me?" The Doctor asked, pain in his voice. He took a seat on a small sofa as Dean shut and locked the door.
Sam nodded and ran his hands through his hair. "The last few months it's been more recent."
"So she talks about me?"
"A lot," This time Dean answered. He opened a beer and handed another towards Sam. "She never really told us what she did with you "up in the stars", Dean said with air quotes. "She was careful to only tell us certain aspects of her life. Never wanted us to get too close in case something came to find her."
The Doctor sat there, a million things running through his head. Of course you would still try to help people in the only ways you knew how.
"When did you meet? I didn't know she would come back to America."
"It's been what," Dean said as he looked towards Sam. "Almost five years now? When is your anniversary?"
"In two months," Sam answered with a pause. "We started dating about a year after she joined us. We meet at a bar, both looking for the same monster that was killing people."
"Monsters?" The Doctor asked, looking at Dean. He decided he was the more experienced in this topic of choice. More likely to give him the blunt answers.
"Don't act so coy," Dean scoffed and set down his beer. "We know that you are an alien and know that you take care of problems up there in the stars. We take care of the monsters down here. She thought it was something that you two had stopped before, so she went after it and met us. After the hunt was over, she joined us, seemingly like she had nowhere to go."
"I thought when she needed space, she would get out of this type of life. That's at least what she told me was going to do." The Doctor sighed and ran his hands through his hair.
