When I replay it in my mind feel like I'm the tortured poet
But now it's been a minute
And I've gotten confirmation
And I feel a sigh of relief like a still small wave of emotion
even if it's not to my enjoyment
I'm so glad I actually told him
I'm glad that it's in the open
air
I'm glad that I won't be writing worthless paper airplanes and throwing them forever at a wall in disparity
not knowing if there was anything here
so I feel better.
And now I know
And somehow this was the easier pill to swallow
I knew it was coming
But I didn't realize how good it'd feel
To let it go

Why is it that now that I told him
I feel like I'm over him
Like the feeling has lifted away from my chest
When he said they weren't his and that was for the best
And we could've avoided the mess all the way through if I'd just started out this way and never went through

On a banner climb

wanna make it hang
With the letters L C was and is self made.
Perfect grades don't define
Up or down still gonna climb
The mountains high I'll reach the peak
And no MF boulders ever gonna stop me
I dropped it cause I'm done with
Pushing baggage to the top
So I dropped it off
And it rolled off
My shoulders hunched are now straight up
And now I'm lighter than ever been
Taking off have somewhere to begin
I feel steady on my feet
You better know that I'm the queen
And no MF set back will ever set back
