August|Two Months Later
"Hey beautiful, how are you doing?" Jon asked with a smile after seeing his wife accept the FaceTime call.
"Hey baby! I'm doing good, we're just waiting on the show to start. You holding the fort down okay?" Mercedes asked on the other line, happy to see her husband.
"Oh yeah. Tay's fully moved in and Cal and Aiden have everything ready to go for their first day of school tomorrow. I just wanted to check on you and tell you I love you and I can't wait to watch you tonight." He smiled as she was grinning from ear to ear.
"I love you, babe! Can't wait to see you when I get home." She grinned before the two got off the phone.
Mercedes was back in Orlando for NXT with Liam and Brittney. Brittney and Mercedes were beginning their manager-competitor duo relationship on screen. Everyone backstage loved their promos together and tonight was going to be the debut of that partnership.
Britt Raine had a fatal four way match for a number one contender spot for the NXT Women's Championship. She would get that match at the following NXT Takeover during Survivor Series weekend. Sasha Banks was going to serve as Britt Raine's manager and council, guiding her to the stardom and superstar level that she needed to be at.
"Let's do this babe!" Mercedes grinned as she and Brittney were waiting backstage to make their entrances, embracing a new beginning of their careers.
"Yes, let's do this! We got this and this is gonna be so fun!" Brittney beamed as she hugged her mother in law, ready to start the new chapter.
