"Wow!" One year old Everleigh squealed as she was holding each one of her parents' hands, slowly walking into the water of the beach in Maui, Hawaii.

"You're doing a great job, honey!" Callie smiled as she and Jacob continued to walk into the water with their daughter, seeing everyone else in the water or sitting on the beach.

Mercedes and Jon planned a huge family vacation with their kids. They were in Maui, Hawaii for ten days. It was a different idea compared to when they'd usually all go to Lake Powell in May, but they figured this would be better and they got to stay for longer. They were happy to spend the quality time with all eight children and granddaughter on the vacation.

Today was the second day they were there. It was their first full day as they got in late afternoon the previous day. However today was going to be huge, especially for Callie and Jacob. Jacob had planned a second proposal for the love of his life, shedding the dead skin of the traumatic time in their lives a year ago.

He had everything planned accordingly, ring in his reach. Mercedes and Jon knew that specifically today was the day and they couldn't wait for it. They were happy for the two and were excited to celebrate them.

"It's okay baby, daddy's got you." Jacob assured their daughter as they went a little deeper and Everleigh got nervous. They played in the water for a bit before Everleigh got tired, so they headed back up to where everyone was sitting at.

"Tired." Everleigh said, rubbing her eyes as Callie scooped her up, the two laying down on an extended beach chair underneath an umbrella to keep the sun out of their eyes. Jacob handed her a beach blanket so Callie could get their daughter to sleep.

"It's okay, princess. Mama's got you." Callie soothed her daughter, covering herself up to comfort nurse her to sleep before picking up a book while Everleigh slept cuddled up with her mother.

Later that day, everyone was at the rental house they were staying at while in Maui. While Callie got ready, Jacob made sure Mercedes and Jon were fine to watch Everleigh as he was going to take Callie out to dinner, followed by the proposal. The two were more than happy to watch their granddaughter so their daughter and future son in law could have some alone time while on vacation.

"What's the plan for the night?" Taylor asked as she and Jeremy were trying to figure out what they were going to do. It had been about a half hour after Callie and Jacob left as Liam, Brittney, Aiden, and Gianna followed in pursuit to figure out what to do for the evening.

"Yeah, wait... where's Cal and Jacob?" Liam asked, seeing their parents with their one year old niece.

"They went out to dinner about twenty, thirty minutes ago." Mercedes said as she handed Everleigh a cup of water.

"Then what are you guys gonna do for dinner?" Aiden asked, not wanting to leave his parents behind.

"We're just gonna get takeout, hang out here with Ev." Jon said while keeping an eye on the one year old girl.

"You guys realize Jacob's proposing tonight, right? And that's why we have Everleigh?" Mercedes said in a questioning tone, raising her eyebrows at all six kids.

"What?!" They all unanimously exclaimed, not aware of the night's events.

"Yeah, go look out on the back patio. He's doing it along the beach and you can see it from here." Mercedes said as the six of them went out to the back patio, seeing everything set up. They couldn't help but get emotional, especially Liam, Aiden, and Taylor as they were incredibly happy for their little/twin sister.

"Oh my gosh." Taylor sniffled as they walked back inside where Mercedes, Jon, and Everleigh were.

"It looks so beautiful." Brittney said as she grabbed a tissue to wipe away her tears.
