"Alright Mercedes, ready to go baby?" Jon asked his wife one week later.

Due to Mercedes' injury, she was stripped of the Raw Women's Championship on Raw. She was extremely upset about it. She went to the doctor before Raw to have x-rays and examinations done. She tore her rotator cuff as well as a few tendons around it. She would be out of action for six to nine months, at least. Now, Jon was getting ready to take her to her surgery. It was early in the morning, but Mercedes was glad so she could get it over with and rest for the remainder of the day.

"Bout as ready as I'll ever be." Mercedes sighed as Jon helped her out to their car. He got her bag loaded up in the car before they made their way to the hospital.

"I just want this to be over with. I already miss wrestling so much." She sniffled before wiping away some tears that quietly fell down her face.

"I know baby, we're gonna get you healthy and back to wrestling in no time." He gave her a reassuring smile before kissing the top of her hand.

The drive to the hospital wasn't too long. Jon and Mercedes made it rather quick before helping her out and walking inside. They got her checked in and admitted, settling her in a room. It took about two hours overall to get Mercedes prepared and ready for surgery. She was ready to get it over with and Jon was all hands on deck to help her during her recovery.

"I love you baby. I'll be right here when you're all done." Jon reassured her before they wheeled her in for her surgery. Mercedes gave her husband a tired smile as she was out of it due to the anesthesia she was given prior to being wheeled back.

Two and a half hours later, the surgeon came out to inform Jon that Mercedes' surgery was done. It was successful as well. She would still have a long road to heal and recover, however she was now ready to go down that road. Jon was relieved to hear his wife's surgery was successful. Now that she was in her recovery room, he was able to go up and see her.

"Hey beautiful." He smiled as she was slowly beginning to wake up.

"Hi." She groggily spoke while opening her eyes.

"The surgery went great. Now we're on the road to get you better. And we will babygirl, promise." He responded before kissing her temple. It might be a long road for Mercedes, but she was determined to get back in that ring sooner rather than later.
