"I am so happy to be going to Lake Powell again! It'll be nice for it to just be us, even though I do enjoy going with my family every year." Taylor smiled as she and Jeremy were currently driving down to Lake Powell for a weekend trip together. Little did she know, she would be in for a great surprise.

Jeremy would be proposing to Taylor during their weekend getaway to Lake Powell. He asked for Mercedes and Jon's blessing four months ago. The two have been best friends for fifteen years, as well as dating for three. They recently moved in together and were in their sophomore year of college. Jeremy felt the timing was right and he knew Taylor would want to get married sooner or later.

Jeremy was glad that Taylor did not get too curious as he told her they were going to Lake Powell together. Typically, they went every summer with her family. They did their family summer trip one month ago, now going as the two of them. They were staying in a nearby hotel room, driving back and forth for the four days they were there.

"Me too, it'll be nice to be on more than just the boat. We can do some hiking if you want." Jeremy suggested as they happily drove the rest of the way to Lake Powell.

"Yay! We're finally here!" She beamed as they arrived at the boat dock.

They first went to the hotel and unloaded, quickly heading to the boat dock. They were using Mercedes and Jon's boat for the next few days, knowing how to responsibly drive and take care of it. Jeremy double checked his pockets, making sure he still had the ring he snuck in before they even left their apartment earlier that morning.

"Ready?" He grinned as they loaded on the boat.

"Yep!" She replied as they set off to a shorter boat ride.

The two enjoyed the boat ride. Jeremy tried to remain calm and as normal as possible, not wanting Taylor to get any ideas. During the drive, he thought about what he'd say and how he'd do it. All of that quickly vanished as they ended the boat ride.

As they ended the boat ride, the sun was setting. Taylor insisted on them hiking to a certain area to take some photos of the sunset as well as them together. Jeremy didn't object, realizing that would be a perfect moment to propose to the love of his life.

"I love you honey." Taylor beamed as they were watching the sunset.

"I love you too, gorgeous. Say, there's something I wanna tell you." He admitted, knowing it was go time to propose to the love of his life.

"What's up?" She casually asked, unaware of what was about to happen.

"We've been best friends for fifteen years. As soon as we became best friends, I knew you'd be in my life forever." Jeremy began as Taylor was grinning.

"The day we met, I knew you were going to be in my life forever. The day I made you my girlfriend was the best day of my life, up until now." He continued as Taylor was emotional while listening to her longtime lover.

"Taylor, I've known for a long time that you are my one and only girl. You are my soulmate. From the day we met until now, I've always wanted you as my wife..." His voice trailed off as he was emotional himself while proposing to Taylor.

"I would love to make you mine forever," he continued while getting down on one knee. Taylor gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. Jeremy got the red velvet box out, opening it up to reveal a two carat, emerald cut diamond engagement ring.

"Taylor Hope Good, will you marry me?" Jeremy grinned as both were crying hard. Taylor nodded her head, unable to form words at the moment. His hands were shaky, but able to carefully place the ring on her left finger.

"I can't wait to marry you, Jeremy." Taylor beamed as she was now able to form words. The two were holding each other tight, soaking in all of the love they had for each other and now that they were engaged.

"I can't wait to marry you too, Taylor. You're my dream girl and now I get to have my dream girl as my wife." Jeremy grinned, lovingly kissing his fiancée.

"And you're my dream guy! I always hoped we'd get married. And now here we are! I'm going to be Mrs. Brooks!" She squealed as he laughed and kissed her forehead.

"Mr. and Mrs. Brooks coming soon." He chuckled as they headed back to their hotel and enjoyed the amazing night together.
