"Well, that was that." Brittney said as she and Liam got back to their hotel room. They both just lost their NXT Championships at NXT Takeover. Now, they were winding down after a long day and night.
"I know, I know. But as one door closes, another will open baby." Liam assured his wife, sitting down on the bed with her and hugging her.
"I love you." Brittney smiled as she laid her head on his shoulder.
"I love you too." He kissed the top of her head while they tried to wind down from the night.

While Liam and Brittney were waiting for their next steps with their careers after NXT Takeover, there was other exciting news happening. The excitement was with Taylor and Jeremy. Jeremy was currently at Mercedes and Jon's house while everyone else was gone. It was for a very important reason.
Jeremy was there to ask for Mercedes and Jon's blessing to marry Taylor. They've been together for quite a few years and the two have been best friends practically their whole lives. He wanted to propose to Taylor as the two were made for each other and felt like soulmates. Of course, Jeremy wanted to ask for his lover's parents' blessing to marry her first before proceeding with a proposal.
"So, you want to marry my daughter?" Jon asked as the three were standing in the kitchen after the conversation.
"Yes, I'd love to marry Taylor as long as I have your blessing." Jeremy said as Mercedes and Jon grinned while looking at their oldest daughter's boyfriend.
"You have our blessing, son. You and Taylor are great for each other and you're like a son to us. You have our blessing to marry Taylor. Do whatever you want to propose as we know she'll say yes." Jon smiled as Jeremy thanked them, hugging them and now looked forward to planning the proposal to his lover.
