"Now, this is your schedule. Miss Bennet will be the one to show you to your classes." The secretary said as she handed Eliana a slip of paper containing her class schedule.
She turned and the girl standing behind her gave her a wide smile as she opened the door to the registration office. Her skin was light brown, and her black hair was slightly wavy, ending just around her shoulders.

"What's your first class?" The girl asked, and Eliana glanced down at the paper.

"It's English." Eliana replied and Bonnie gestured for her to follow her.
"Come on, I'm in the same class. I can show you around today as well." She said before turning to walk down the hall.

Eliana and the girl began to move through the sea of students, with her glancing back as she introduced herself.
"I'm Bonnie." 

"Eliana Saltzman." Bonnie widened her eyes once her last name left her mouth.

"Saltzman? Like Alaric Saltzman? Are you his secret love child?" Eliana snorted out a laugh while shaking her head.

"Not a secret love child. His niece." Eliana corrected and both of them continued on their way.

"So, you just moved to town?" She asked and Eliana nodded. A few pieces of her blonde hair fell into her face and she brushed them back behind her ear. 

"Yep, fresh meat for the animals of this town." Eliana joked, remembering all the articles she read about animal attacks.
Bonnies face fell slightly before she plastered her smile back on.

"Well, hopefully the animals don't get you. If you need someone to sit with at lunch, you can sit with me and my friend Elena. She'll probably be absorbed in talking to her boyfriend though...but you can keep me company." She offered, making Eliana feel slightly less nervous. Maybe they could become friends...

"Sure, that sounds nice."

Eliana had most of her classes with Bonnie, and they spoke throughout their free period about random things. Like how Bonnie lived with her father, her mother having up and disappeared just like Eliana's. Then at lunch, Bonnie led her towards a table where a girl with long, straight brown hair sat with a boy next to her. His brown hair styled and swept upwards. When they got closer, Eliana noticed the gaudy ring he wore on his finger. 

"This is Elena....and Stefan." Bonnie said as she sat down.  She seemed a bit tense when she mentioned the boys name but Eliana thought nothing of it. 

"Hi. I'm Eliana." She placed her bag on the ground beside her as she sat down next to Bonnie.

"It's nice to meet you, Eliana." Elena said as Stefan gave her a nod of acknowledgement. 

"Yes, it's very nice to meet you."

"Eliana is Alaric's niece, just arrived in town." Bonnie stated making Elena raised her brows.

"You're Ric's niece?"

How close was she to her uncle to call him Ric? 

"Yeah, he's my fathers younger brother. Kinda got pushed off onto him..." Eliana said nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders.
