Sharky and Aj chatted away as they walked through the aisles of Costco, one by one retrieving everything they needed, and more. They had definitely had enough for more than 3 months worth, but that's what happened when you let them go together. Aj loved Costco. He loved how big everything was, and how easy it was to get lost in the aisles. The boys didn't necessarily dislike going with Aj to the shops, quite the opposite really. He was always so much fun, and always found excuses why they needed an unnecessary item. But the part they didn't like was Aj running away to find new items to put in the cart, or hiding behind aisles just to jump out and scare them. It was quite endearing, like a kid in a sweet shop, but sometimes that kid needed to pipe down, and hold the edge of the trolly as they walked along.
At one point they had stopped to get a sample, some sort of sweet treat, both boys moaning at the taste.
"I think we should get a packet or two of those they're really good." Sharky says, "Peanut Butter flavour, Niko likes peanut butter." He accidently lets out.
Aj suddenly grimaces, and throws the rest of the sample in the bin. "No not peanut butter. Peanut butter is gross."
"Didn't you have a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast," Sharky questions.
Aj glares at him, fuck. "Yeah but that's different. Lets just get the chocolate chip ones or something." He wasn't going to deny himself completely of the biscuit, it was too good, but definitely not get Niko's favourite. Never again.
Sharky puts the packet in anyways, just because Aj and Niko despised each other doesn't mean he can't be a good friend. He looks back up at Aj, who had wandered down the sweets aisle checking if they had forgotten anything. He stops infront of a box of Curly Wurly bars and pauses. They had been his favourite chocolate many years ago, but now he hated them. The chewy fudge sickly and annoyingly sticking between his teeth, keeping them clamped together, and keeping the memories attached in his mouth. Sharky walks up behind Aj, looking at the boy confused. Aj had always made it clear to them he hated Curly Wurlys and if it was possible to never have them around him or else he would 'throw up.' Sharky and Chunkz took kindly to his request, not being the biggest fans of the chocolate anyways, but were confused at the request nonetheless. Sharky remembers how in the many times he visited Ajs childhood home, he'd seen Aj's childhood album, he had a Curly Wurly stuck between his teeth, 90% of the time. Maybe he out grew them, they weren't sure, but their suspicions were put to rest as when they questioned the boy, he blew up at the pair, with threats if they ever asked gain.
"Aj! The chocolate is Curly just like your hair!" The little boy laughs, taking a bite of the fudgey chocolate.
"It Is!" Aj giggles, Shaking his head causing his curls to fly around him. "Your hair is curly too!"
"Yeah but yours is Cuuurlly. Mines short," The boy pouts. He absolutely adored Ajs curly hair, and wished his own would grow out that long. But he always had to have it short, his dad cutting it at every new inch grown.
"Its still curly, so we're matching" Aj smiles at the boy, in attempts to cheer him up. It works because the 8 year old smiles back at him.
"My Curly Aje""I swear you hate Curly Wurlys," Sharky asks, fearful in case it set Aj off.
Aj snaps back into reality the childish giggles fading away, grimacing at the chocolate, and looking back at Sharky. "Yeah I do. Its disgusting. You'd have to pay me at least £10,000 to eat one." Aj begins, before trying to find something beside them to cover up hid crime, picking up the box "I wasn't looking at those I was uhm, looking at these"
"Protein Bars?" Sharky squints. This was weird, Aj had literally gone on rants about how useless and gross Protein bars were. If you wanted protein eat more eggs or something why ruin a good chocolate.
