I miss you, I'm sorry

Part 25

About a week later, James had edited the video and sent it back for the boys to watch. It was Friday evening, and they were all curled in the cinema room preparing to see if the video was uploadable. It had happened numerous times where they had filmed a video, and perfected the editing, but when it came to upload it just didn't fit their standards. It wasn't an editing flaw, definitely not, James was incredible at his job. It was just the video not reaching their expectations. When your audience is a bunch of teenagers, you have to be somewhat critical of what you post. 

The past week had been a different course of events for each of the boys, and maybe that's what lead to what happened tonight. Or maybe it was a course of emotions built up over time...

Sharky and Kenny's week had consisted of a first official date. 

After the boys had finished filming, Niko runs upstairs to send the footage to James. Kenny walks up to Sharky and tells him to be ready in an hour. 

"What why?" Sharky asks.

"Don't ask questions, my love," Kenny winks before he too runs away to his room. 

Sharky shakes his head before going to his room to get ready. 

That left Aj and Chunkz, but we'll get to them in a little bit. 

After an hour and a half, Kenny knocks on Sharky's door. He knows he told the boy an hour, but he also knows Sharky is always late, so he had told him to be ready 30 minutes before, so that he would actually be ready on time. 

Sharky walks out looking absolutely gorgeous. He's wearing a pair of green cargos, with a white Primo shirt and a durag. "I'm ready... What are you looking at," Sharky says blushing. 

"You. You look breath-taking." 

"Thank you. You look good too." Sharky smiles, finding it hard to believe how Kenny actually saw him. 

Sharky knew he wasn't necessarily ugly but, he wasn't perfect. Sharky always felt like he didn't belong. Chunkz had this charisma that made everyone gravitate towards him. Niko was a genius that made you want to stop and question. Aj had this smile, humour, you always knew he was the person you could go to on a bad day to cheer you up, and finaly Kenny. His beautiful, perfect Kenny. Kenny was fit, muscular, beautiful. He had these eyes that just sparkled, a wide contagious laugh, plump pink lips, perfect facial hair. He had everything. And what did Sharky have? Nothing. Nothing compared to Kenny. 

And Sharky was just, Sharky. 

Sharky doesn't even know how someone like Kenny would even look in his direction.

"Let's go," Kenny smiles, taking Sharky's hand. 

"Where are we going?" 

"I'm taking you out. We can't do much because of the lockdown, but I wanted to take you on a first official date."

"Kennyyyyy," Sharky whines, "You could've told me, I could've dressed nicer," he pouts.

Kenny grabs Sharkys cheeks and pulls him in for a kiss, "You look astonishing. Even if you came in your pyjamas, you look perfect Sharks." 

Okay, Sharkys heart definitely melted. 

"I thought we can just take a little walk to the ice-cream shop, and get ice cream. I know you don't like deserts that much, but I know you love ice-cream so yeah. If you wanna do something else thats fine I-" Kenny rambles.

"Ken. I love it." 

The pair walk side by side towards the ice-cream shop, too scared to hold hands in the fear of being caught by someone.
