Aj had decided to be civil with Niko for now. For the sake of Chunkz, Kenny and Sharky.

The next morning, Aj reluctantly wakes up. He hated waking up early, always had, but the boys were filming today, and he couldn't be late. Once he gets out the shower, and styles his wet curls he checks his phone, sighing at the text message on the screen.

Dad

Dad

Morning, just checking to see if anything has changed?

You:

 No.

It doesn't work like that, I can't change dad.

Dad

You will never change with that mindset, Ayaanle

What about your friends? They can help

change you, Ayaanle.

They can make you a better person. Your mum misses you.

You:

You know they don't know about this.

I miss her too, and Maya and Mo.

How are they?

Dad:

You can see them in due time, Ayaanle.

Your mother is still upset.

They're good. They're enjoying the break.

You:

Can I please see them, Dad.

Please.

I miss them so much.

Dad:

No.

Not until you fix your problem.

Maybe that's why you don't want to tell your friends. You know

how disgusted they'd be.

You can see Maya and Mohammed when you get fixed.

I can't have my other kids get infected too.

Goodbye, Ayaanle

Aj left  the message on opened. Every so often, his dad would message him and check if he 'fixed the problem.' Of course, Aj hadn't, but maybe it was time he did. His family, according to his dad, hated him for it. He couldn't see his siblings, because his dad thought it was best to keep them away from his 'disease'. And his mum? His mum hadn't spoken to him since the whole incident, the only communication from his father, who would tell him how she supposedly feels. In all honesty, he missed them. It had been nearly 5 years since he'd seen his family. After the incident, he'd gone back, to ask for forgiveness, but it had just ended up the same as the first.

But it wasn't a  problem he could fix. He could lie to them, but he could never do that to his parents. No matter what they did to him, he couldn't disrespect them like that. He had tried to tell them he changed, but they didn't believe him. Had told him to say 'wallah' and if he could just about pull off a lie to keep his family at peace, he couldn't swear to Gods name in a lie. Too far.
