*A little bonus for you lot :D*

After Zuko had thrown up. The gang decided it was time to leave the club, Zuko hated that he was the reason why, he tried to tell them that he could go home and they could stay on partying but they all refused.

The gang had decided to walk home to Katara and Sokka's apartment and just chill there, it wasn't very far. Suki crashed out on Katara's bed while the rest of them watched TV and Katara had gone to her room to sleep at some point too.

Zuko opened his eyes, he had thought he had only closed them for a moment but now everything was dark and Zuko was aware of someone snoring and faint laughter. He sat up and waited for his eyes to adjust.

He was still in Katara and Sokka's apartment, specifically, he was sitting on their couch with a soft fluffy blanket thrown over him. The snoring came from Sokka. He was asleep on the floor with his back resting on the couch. Aang was leaning against him, also fast asleep.

The quiet laughter came from the TV, there was a cheesy sitcom playing on Netflix. Some old 80s show that Zuko didn't know. Because it was on Netflix, the next episode queued up automatically.

Zuko rubbed his arm, it was tender and a little red. The search bar mark's writing had changed again, it now read: "What is-" and that was it. Evidently, his soulmate hadn't been able to finish his search.

His soulmate mark changing again and the amount of alcohol he had drunk must have caused him to throw up. He didn't understand though, his soulmate mark had been getting less painful, why had it suddenly flared up again? Maybe he should go and see the mark reader again.

Zuko found the remote and turned the sound of the show down until it was a dim background noise, he glanced at the two sleeping boys in front of him. The two had such a brother-like bond, it was amazing.

Zuko wondered to himself what it would have been like if he'd had a brother. Actually, now that he thought about it, Lu Ten had been very much like a big brother to him.

Lu Ten was Zuko's cousin, and like his father Iroh, was probably one of the most loving and kind men Zuko had ever known. When Zuko was a kid Lu Ten used to take him to lots of things. They'd go to the gardens, the arcade, the movies, and the beach, often accompanied by Uncle Iroh when he wasn't busy being Firelord..

Lu Ten would sometimes even take Zuko with him when Lu Ten had to run important business errands for the Azulon family. It made Zuko feel so important, and he had thought the world of Lu Ten.

Zuko had only been eleven when Lu Ten died, an angel taken from the world far too soon and far too cruelly. A terrible case of wrong place wrong time. Car crashes can take anyone at any time, but you never think about that until it happens to you or someone close to you.

The death of Lu Ten had absolutely destroyed Uncle Iroh, and he had stepped down as the head of the Azulon family. Allowing Zuko's father and Iroh's younger brother Ozai to take over.

Zuko smiled at the thought of his beloved cousin. If there was anyone Zuko wanted to be like, it was Lu Ten. Lu Ten was strong, smart, kind, funny and most important of all... Lu Ten was brave, he was so incredibly brave.

Zuko looked out at the moon through the sliding door, which had been left open, it didn't matter as it was a warm night. Despite the moon only being half full it was still bright and cast its light on the floor. Zuko breathed in the night air as a small breeze played gently with the undrawn curtains at the sliding door.

It was moments like these, nights like this that made Zuko miss relationships. He did not miss Jet, he just missed the feeling of being close to someone. It was a shame to have a beautiful night like this and not have anyone to share it with. He missed the closeness and intimacy of it.

Often when he felt like this he would re-watch love scenes from his favourite shows or reread his favourite fanfics, but the satisfaction and fulfilment from those only lasted so long before they wore off.

A murmur made Zuko snap his head back to the two sleeping boys in front of him, Sokka was stirring, he rubbed his eyes and yawned, he blinked a couple of times and caught sight of Zuko watching him. He gave him a sleepy smile.

"What time is it?" he said through another yawn.

Zuko checked his phone. "2:07 am" he replied.

"Ah, the witching hour," Sokka replied as he snuggled further down.

"What?" Zuko asked.

"You know... From that Rohl Dahl story, that giant friendly dude,"

Zuko cocked his head to the side. "Do you mean "The B.F.G.? Big Friendly Giant?" he asked. "Isn't that, like, 3 am?"

"Potato, potato," Sokka said, closing his eyes.

Within minutes he was snoring softly again. Zuko marvelled at how quickly Sokka was able to fall back asleep, although he may still have been asleep when he had talked to Zuko, he could be a sleeptalker.

Zuko smiled, Sokka was like proof that there were still good guys out there like Lu Ten and that made Zuko feel a little better. He snuggled back down onto the couch and pulled the blanket up to his neck. Maybe there was still hope for him, maybe one day he'd find a guy like Sokka.

*Author's notes and ramblings*

It ain't much, but I still thought I'd throw in this tasty little morsel for you guys. I had a lot of fun writing it and I felt that it was important enough to keep in, because I did think about discarding it at one point. Anyway, see ya next time
