Debbie: Hey Denise, have you done your math homework yet?

Denise: Mm-hmm, I finished it yesterday.

Hakim: [Enters the scene] Hey guys! This is all the answers, let's go!

[A group of students approaches Denise]

Hakim: Alright! Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go!

Diana: Can we copy your homework before class starts?

Kevin: Denise, I need help - what's the answer to question five?

Julynn: What about question eight? I don't know how to find x, where is x!?

Hakim: Triangles! Protectors! Circles! There's so many shapes in math!

Takeshi: For your information, it's pronounced "protractor", not "protector".

Debbie: Yeah, I never knew square had roots, I thought only plant had roots.

[Indistinct talking]

Vincent: [Enters the scene] Hey... hey- HEY! Back off! Can't you see you're overwhelming her!? Give her some space! Go, go! Shoo, jeez, shoo.

Ayaka: Typical possessive boyfriend. Kind of like my dad in his teens!

[Students returned to their seats]

Denise: Thanks Vincent.

Vincent: Don't mention it. And since I'm your boyfriend... [Shouting] I get to go first! Denise, I need your help with this question; what's the answer!? What happened in 1969!?

Denise: This isn't math, it is history homework.

Vincent: What are you talking about!? There is numbers of course it is math! Get a grip on yourself, Denise! Come on! What happened 1969!?

Ayaka: Actually she's right. And the answer to your question is the moon landing.

Madam Soot Beng: You know what? Let's go through some quick fire math questions.

[Students in disappointment, while Denise in excitement]

Madam Soot Beng: Now, what is 75+54?

Denise: 129.

Madam Soot Beng: 27+48?

Denise: 75.

Madam Soot Beng: 70-32?

Denise: 38.

Madam Soot Beng: 18*6?

Denise: 108.

Madam Soot Beng: 534*314/47?

[Silence]

Madam Soot Beng: Excellent... but do I not have any other students in this class aside from Denise!? Anyone!? Anyone else at all!? No!?

Takeshi: 3567.57 to 2 decimal places. I was working out the answer in my head.

Madam Soot Beng: You did a great job. And I'm surprised Ayaka didn't answer.

Kami: [Gives a thumbs-up to Takeshi]

Teverly: Madam Soot Beng, I would love to answer your questions, but they're simply too elementary.

Madam Soot Beng: Very well then, could you come up and try solving that equation?

[Teverly stood up, and goes to the whiteboard saying: 𝑥² - 5𝑥 + 6 = 0]

JianHao (To Denise): This guy...

Teverly: To solve this equation: we will use the quadratic formula of 𝑥 = -b± √b²-4ac / 2a, where a = 1, b = -5, and c = 6. Plugging in the values, 𝑥 = -5 -± √𝑥=5-1 / 2 = 2

Madam Soot Beng: Very impressive Teverly.

Denise (To Vincent): I could have done better.

Vincent: Heh, me too... easy.

Madam Soot Beng: Okay then Vincent, you're up next.

Vincent: Um, the- pup- pa- tla- pu- pla- platypus theory.

Takeshi and Ayaka: [Staring at each other]

Kami: So you guys have phone wallpapers, right? What are they?

Ayaka: The Titan Academy logo.

Kami: Cool. Mine's just... me.

Takeshi: Mines Goku with angel wings with the caption "Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. You will be missed."
