Then: Getting To School

Sherly: Ugh, just in the nick of time. I don't know how you do it Soot Beng, you're always on time!

Karen: Well, I kinda don't have a choice... my mum sends me to school everyday. Just can't wait for this day to be over.

Shunsuke: [peacefully drinking Coke] Same, honestly.

Note: For context, Shunsuke is Takeshi's late father and the Denise of the 1994 batch

[Karen leaves as rushes to Sherly with her own books.]

Sherly: Hey, you're almost late too! What happened?

Sofia: [panting] I missed the only bus from my house, so... I ran all the way here!

[Danial enters the scene.]

Danial: You know, at least you live nearby, my farm's located all the way in the countryside, I have to navigate through seven different fields, just to be here.

[Danial is seen standing next to Miss Siti. Close by, Miss Siti scolds Danial for hitching his horse on the wrong place...]

Miss Siti: DANIAL! How many times have I told you? This is not where you hitch your horse, it's at the back of the school!

[Danial goes to hitch his horse, who then whinnies. Sherly and Sofia strolls away to enter the campus.]

Sherly: Let's go.

Danial: Come on, Mr. Boomer. One day, I'll be the one shouting at the kids, heheh. You'll see. Let's go!

Shunsuke: Same for me, just for the entire country...

Sofia: So you're actually passionate about becoming a politician.

Now: Getting to School

Vicky: Do you really have to drive me to school? I could've just taken a bus with my friends!

Madam Soot Beng: Do you know how lucky you are? Back in my days, I have to walk through muddy fields, hike through mountains, travel the seven seas, just to get to school. You should be grateful your mother sends you to school everyday.

Vicky: But grandma says, she just sends you to school everyday!

Madam Soot Beng: [insistedly] Fake news! Now go in, I have to find a place to park the car, before Mr. Dan takes my parking spot.

[Meanwhile, Mr. Dan is also at the same parking spot Madam Soot Beng mentioned, and he's holding some white flowers in loving memory of his own horse...]

Mr. Dan: [reminiscing] Mr. Boomer, when I see you up there, I will greet you with... "Hay!".

[Mr Dan puts his flowers down on the ground. Madam Soot Beng arrives on her car and flattens over his flowers.]

Takeshi: The grief of losing a loved one...

Then: Dancing

1994 batch: Yeahhhh... wooo!

Now: Dancing

Chloe: Diana, can you make me a TikTok?

Diana: Yeah, sure!
