Three thousand years ago, the world was peaceful. That was until a great evil emerged after all there can't truly be good without any evil. An ancient dark power rose nearly destroying the world.

He was a viscous beast. His true form a massive big black long(the name of the type of dragon is lung or long) dragon. His scales were pitch black and as strong as diamond. They were beyond beautiful as they glittered in the sun.

It was his most strongest form as it was his natural form. Those few who were lucky to encounter his human form did not live long enough to tell the tale, all but one of course.

It was to be expected that if a great evil uprooted the world and natural order that a great light would arise to stop him and restore peace. A hero made by circumstance.

The queen of the fox tribe, a beautiful and powerful nine tailed fox. Xia Xihe, she rose up to defend all that needs protection from this evil demon Lord.

Everytime he struck, she struck back harder. Armies fought, wars raided and destroyed the land. Many lives were lost and evil was winning.

Xia Xihe was the last remaining nine tailed fox, they were already rare to begin with and now she was the last remaining one. She was the strongest of her kind so the foxes had chosen her to be it's leader and queen.

She reigned with fairness and a kind heart, she was benevolent and kind. She saw good in all living things, including the demon Lord. He took advantage of her kind heart and trampled on it time and time again. Whenever they met on the battlefield they would engage in fruitless conversation and hurt each other.

One fateful night as almost all was lost, the last line of defence barely holding on. The two faced off in an epic all out battle. Xihe had found a way to weaken the black dragon thus claiming an advantage over him.

Both struck mercilessly at each other. Covered in blood, cuts and wounds alike, they were both near there end. But Xihe couldn't give up and she made the ultimate sacrifice. She used up all her spiritual power to seal away the black dragon.

She took away a piece of his power and locked him away in the endless abyss, a dark, cold place. The power she took she hid away. So that if one day he got out, he would be weak and would first need to reclaim his full power before he could try to destroy the world again.

Having used up all her spiritual power in this final act, she retreated to her home to watch it as the last of her life slipped away from her. However as she feared the black dragon would one day return to the world again, they would need a saviour. She left the world with a little gift that would come when the time was right.

Now three thousand years of peace and prosperity have prevailed. People cultivated and made new sects or tribes. They had established the immortal sects and spirit tribes. The spirit tribes were beings who's true forms were a spirit animal such as the fox tribe, the bird tribe. we also have spirit tribes where there forms aren't animals but now human either such as the merfolk tribe or the air tribe.

More and more tribes and sects were established along side the regular human towns and kingdom's. The world healed and the tale of the great battle was passed down to each generation. So that they could never forget the sacrifices made for the peace today and that a great evil still lurks in this world. So they must be strong and cultivate hard.

In the beginning people worked hard in fear of his return but as it didn't happen, people started to slack and the world became more at ease. Forgetting the threat is actually a threat and not just some tale from three thousand years ago.

"Big sister Yuqi, do you think the black dragon will return someday?"

The girl mentioned looked at the younglings sitting down on the floor. "It's possible."

"Then what do we do big sister Yuqi?" Another asked panicked.

"Focus on your cultivation, a good cultivation will protect you! But there's something even more important then good cultivation."

"What is it?"

She smiled teasingly. "I don't think you're ready to know."

"No please we wanna know big sister Yuqi!" They cried out and she chuckled. "alright alright, now stop your crying. Besides a good cultivation it's also important to have a good heart. A heart that's genuine and able to move people. You can't win a war by power or fighting alone. You need sympathy and love, trust that in every person there's a shred of good inside, deep down. You must be willing to forgive and be honest. Treat others as you would want yourself to be treated, be reasonable and give them what they deserve, nothing more and nothing less. These are the wise words my master left me. Now I entrust them to you, so best not disappoint me. You kids are the future of the fox tribe." She stated and they all nodded.

In time they'd learn the meaning and importance of those words but for now they'd try to follow them by heart. While the world is occupied with their own, all failed to notice the change happening in the endless abyss.

The ground shook and the rocks crumbled, cracks formed all across the floor. It burst open and a round of dust settled in the air and in it the silhouette of a man was visible.

The man stretched out his limbs and cracked his bones. His black hair neat and proper. He was clad fully in black, a black piece of a head tiara wrapped around his hair. His black armour shining in the sun.

He looked to the side once the dust settled and found a man bowing. "My lord you've finally returned! We have awaited your return for the last 3000 years!"
