"You?" Yuqi gasped bewildered. The person just smiled and waved cutely. "Hello Yuqi~"
She spluttered as she looked at the person just happily walking around her hut without a care in the world. She wondered how that person got in here, how did they even manage to get past the guards?
The person sat down his white robes flowing behind him. "Well?" They asked quirking their eyebrow upwards. "Aren't you going to serve me some tea?" They asked and Yuqi immediately rushed to get him a cup and set up the tea.
Once the tea was done she poured him a cup before pouring herself a cup as well. The person took a sip before stating at the cup. "Hmm cherry blossom tea, so much alike it's almost daunting." They spoke.
Yuqi was confused. "Yah! Old fox stop being criptic. How did you even get in here?" She asked and the man chuckled.
"It's not that hard." He had a mischievous glint in his eyes. Yuqi gasped. "You're such a sly fox." She giggled and the man gave her a small smile.
"So old fox why did you come?" She asked as she took a sip from her favourite tea. "Yah I have a name you know." He grumbled and Yuqi eyed him. "Well you haven't told me now have you old fox?"
He sighed before swinging a strand of long white hair behind his ear. "My name is Jeongin. Yang Jeongin." He spoke and Yuqi's eyed widened.
"Wow you really are nearly ancient!" Jeongin's eyebrows quirked up in confusion. "You know who I am?"
She nodded. "Yeah, there's records of you in the back section of the library back in fox hill."
Jeongin smiled at her. "Such a resourceful little fox. The resemblance is almost completely striking." He said and she was confused.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Ah that's a story for another time Zhao Yuqi. All in due time. Today I've come for other matters." He was serious and she slightly gulped.
"It's about Minho right?"
"Oh? You know his first name and speak it so freely. He must trust you a great deal then." Jeongin inquired but Yuqi shook her head.
"No, I have my ways in knowing. He only tolerates me because I'm useful to him in his conquest to find the objects." She explained and Jeongin nodded.
"So, I felt a disturbance. He's gained more power. How did he manage to break the bracelet?"
Yuqi sighed. "Honestly I don't know. It flabbergasted me as much as anyone else. I was fighting the guardian and he was about to kill me. That's when Minho stepped in and saved me. He took the hit for me by shielding me. Though he didn't get hurt because of his murderous aura. But that's when the bracelet broke."
Jeongin looked deep in thought. "That's impossible, unless he truly wanted to protect you. His intention wouldn't have been true."
"He said no one was allowed to kill me but him."
"I see, this is what probably happened. His desire to kill you made him protect you. No one but him can lay a hand on you. Which means his intention to protect you from getting killed by anyone else but him is true."
"Shit, that's bad. If he figures out he'll come along on every mission and make sure to repeat the events from yesterday."
"This is bad indeed. Zhao Yuqi I'm afraid you'll have to change his heart. The fate of the entire world rests on it. If he finds out how to get his power back, we are all doomed."
"Change his heart? How?"
"Make him fall in love with you, make him repent on his actions, anything really to make him change his mind on destroying the world for no apparent reason." Jeongin stated.
Yuqi bit her lip before speaking. "He does have a reason to do so."
"Oh? Do tell my dear."
"Minho, he's very old. He's let some things of his past slip in a fit of rage. Demons have always been mistreated just for existing and being different. They got hunted and executed for nothing."
"He rose up to protect the demons and pay back the world for mistreating demons. They destroyed whole races of demons and their homes. Everyone here has been through hell from being mistreated. They rose up to defend themselves. Minho is their saviour. They follow him to live a better future."
"I see. There are other ways in doing so."
She shook her head. "Maybe but the world will never change how they see and treat demons. Our side started things, but we got a pat on the back for it not any repercussions. They defend themselves and are being made the enemy and slaughtered for it. It's not fair and doesn't make sense."
"We all should have equal rights! We are all living beings. We all feel things. Just because demons have a different origin then us doesn't make them any less."
Jeongin smiled at her and patted her back. "Xihe would definitely like you very much. She had the same mindset as you. Only back then it was easier. Demons hadn't made themselves enemies of the world yet until Minho."
He looked her in the eyes. "Change his heart if you want to change the world Yuqi. You can do it, I have faith in you." He smiled at her before disappearing leaving Yuqi to her thoughts.
