Minho and Yuqi silently made their way inside the place. They had to climb up a three and jump down to be able to get over the fence undetected. They were up in the mountains and you'd expect people with wings to live in the sky.
They lived up the highest peak of the mountain but it was still accessible on foot, there were these wobbly rope bridges that were barely used because well they had wings.
Yuqi dropped down first taking out a guard quietly but fast. Minho dropped down next to her. He was impressed she was really as stealthy as she said she was.
They quietly made their way inside the house and Yuqi lead the way feeling the object near.
They had to cover as soon as they heard a guard walking. "Still so many guards left here." She muttered.
They jumped down from the wooden balk they were on and continued going on deeper into the house. They took a flight of stairs down towards the basement.
It was carved in the mountain itself so all they could see and feel were rocks and dust. Yuqi's ears perked up and she immediately pushed Minho back before jumping on the guard and quickly silencing him. She got up again and winced slightly looking at her arms that were bleeding again.
She listened for a few seconds before gesturing that they continue on forward. They walked inside the cave like basement for a while before reaching a big door very well guarded.
"Stay here, I'll take them out." She muttered before disappearing into the shadows. Minho watched her move and somehow she ended up behind them and flung them towards each other knocking them out cold.
She looked over the bodies to find the key to opening the door. Once she found it Minho was already standing in front of her. She pulled the key off the unconscious body and turned to open the door.
They walked inside the room and it instantly got lit up by candles. Yuqi cautiously walked to the middle of the room. It was almost like an altar but she felt the object was there.
She placed her hand on the floor and the mark of the seal appeared. She cut her thumb and rubbed it on the seal to break it.
The seal glowed before it broke and the object appeared. It was bracelet, but it was emitting dark energy so it contained Minho's power. Well part of it.
She took it and handed it to Minho. Before he could grab it she grabbed him and pushed him back as a weapon came and sliced at Yuqi's arm.
She growled at the intruder. "I didn't think there'd be one who could open the seals other then Xihe. Then again why are you helping that dog?" The leader of the winged tribe asked with disdain in his voice.
"None of your business." She spat as blood dripper from the massive gash in her arm. She looked at it before making a tch sound.
She glared at the man in front of her. "You made me bleed, time I return the favour." She growled before she started half transforming. Fox ears perked on top of her, her nails sharpened significantly and a beautiful fluffy white with red fox tail appeared behind her.
(She's not a fury y'all 😭)
"Huli jing." Minho muttered.
Her eyes glowed red with power. She dashed forward, the man's eyes widened as she was much faster then he anticipated or he himself was.
She slashed at his wings with her nails and drew blood from him. It didn't take long before he cried out in anger and came raging at her.
Yuqi threw the bracelet to Minho so she could fully focus on beating this chicken. However after her attacks he was pushing back against her. She was starting to take hits as well as give them.
She got slashed at in the gut. She spit out blood. He came at her with a swing of his sword and she fell back panting.
All she saw was blood, so she charged forward in a rage of fury and gave him a barrage of attacks. She slashed at his face and skin making him bleed.
He groaned and his eyes darkened as he had enough and he summoned his magic to attack her and she put her arms in front of her to protect herself from the hit.
The guy smirked and directed his attack towards Minho instead, she saw this and immediately jumped in front of him and got hit instead of him.
She immediately got back up panting, a bleeding mess. She still glared at the man and was still ready to fight. He came at her with another hit she braced herself for it. But to her surprise she wasn't hit. Instead Minho was now in front of her, a dark aura surrounding him that dissolved the attack.
He had a dark look in his eyes. The bracelet in his hand glowed before it broke and his power seeped free back into him. His aura intensified immediately and he felt so much stronger. Just how much power was held in these objects.
"Now you die." He smirked before raising his hand sending his dark aura towards the guy. He was being blown away and cut at the same time. "I don't think your parents raised you well, don't you know? You shouldn't touch what's not yours?" He asked looking down at him before snapping his fingers and decapitating the man.
He turned around and looked at Yuqi who had sunken to the ground as her body was tired. "Looks like someone died after all." He said before looking at the remants of the broken bracelet in his hand.
"I don't suppose you know why it broke?"
She shook her head before coughing up blood. Minho glanced at her before crouching down before her. He ripped off a piece of her skirt and bound it around her middle to stop the bleeding. He did the same with her arm. "Let's go, I'm going to kill Hyunjin for failing to distract this vermin." He said getting back up again and walking away leaving Yuqi to get up herself.
:) I kept getting interrupted when I was writing this so it took me soooo long to finish 😔
