Their makeout session didn't last long as they were once again interrupted by a soldier. "My lord!." He knocked and the two pulled apart immediately.

"What?" Minho asked a tad annoyed. "We've gotten a letter from the immortal clan." He stated and Minho sighed as he rubbed his temple.

"Bring it inside and leave." He ordered and the soldier complied obviously. He walked inside bowing before placing it on the table in front of the couch, he eyed Yuqi before bowing and walking away.

Minho reached forward and opened the letter. He quickly read it and scoffed. "They're officially declaring war on us, for our many thefts we've committed and for killing one of the winged tribe and attacking the one who attacked us not so long ago."

Yuqi furrowed her brows. "That's stupid, they really put that as a reason for war? Because we stole back what's yours in the first place?"

Minho nodded. "Their last letter for war reasoned that we disturbed their official council one too many times. Besides the dead guy they don't have any reasons for war. They just use stupid excuses at a whim for war. Because last I checked we didn't attack that guy, he attacked me first."

"I can't believe they really go to such lengths and actively lie about it too." Yuqi said surprised.

"Those old geezers started it in the past. They taught the others to do so as well. They collectively hate the demon clan. They don't need a reason for war, they just need to justify it to their people."

"Mm I see, but like the human clan is our ally, so at least the demon clan is not fully alone in this."

Minho hummed. "I'll deal with this later, the war starts in a week from now back where it happened the first time. They think the irony of it all is funny."

"Because you were trapped there and the demon army had to retreat so they won? They think they can do it again?"

Minho nodded. "Last I checked they have no Xihe on their side nor any really powerful person I have to worry about." He shrugged and Yuqi was lost in thought thinking.

"I don't know everyone but there have been rumours of a strong cultivator amongst the clans. They say he doesn't belong to any clan and is like really powerful. Almost as powerful and smart as Xihe."

"Xihe was cunning and a trickster. Difference now is she's dead and I have a trickster on my side. A very cunning one." He looked at her.

"Don't think you can keep avoiding the topic just by making out with me little fox." He said and Yuqi stuck out her tongue teasingly.

"If you knew why did you go along with it?" She asked and he shrugged. A smirk played on his face as he pulled her closer to him.

"Your lips are pretty addictive and it's funny seeing you squirm and blush like this." He teased and she got flustered at that.

She hit his chest and rolled her eyes. "You know it really just started to give you the final bit of your power back." She confessed and Minho looked confused.

"Apparently the last bit was sealed in me. That's how I was able to find the other objects and could sense them. So my little fox spirit told me and said how I could give it back to you. Hence the kiss after I woke up."

"I see, why did you give it back? You could've chosen to leave me incomplete and let the world have a chance at victory against me."

"Because you're not a bad person Minho. You act cold and stoic, you're mean but your heart's in the right place. You care about your people and want what's best for them and this seems to be the only way, it can be done. That's why it was the right thing to do and give you back what's yours."

"How do you know that? When you don't even know me or my story."

"Then tell me and let me see I'm right."

Minho kissed her softly on the lips which she reciprocated before parting a string of saliva connecting them.
