He was reminded of things. In some ways Yuqi reminded him of Xihe but Yuqi was more then Xihe. She had a strong opinion and actually dares to voice it whereas Xihe never did, too scared to do anything about it.
Minho grew frustrated and got up. He made his way to a certain someone's hut and entered without announcing or knocking for that fact.
The person in question was confused and their expression said everything. "Minho? Why are you here again?"
"What's your relationship to Xihe?" He asked straight to the point.
"None? I don't even know her. I didn't even exist back then." She stated.
"Then tell me why it is you are the only one who knows how to unlock the objects and find them?! Tell me why you are so much like her but yet so different!?" He shouted angry at her believing she was just hiding things from him.
Yuqi sighed and sat down. "I don't know! I just know for some reason I know where to find them. I don't even think it's just a feeling. Like I was just meant to know and I just simply do! I don't know why people keep comparing me to her. But I'm not Xihe." Yuqi replied back.
Minho groaned frustrated and sat down a hand rubbing his temples. "Who else told you?"
"Someone I assume to be have been very close to her when she was alive. Said we share the same taste in tea as well."
"Cherry blossom tea?"
She nodded as she got up. "You want some tea?" She asked and he nodded. She filled a pot with water and let it boil.
The silence was awkward but not uncomfortable. Once the tea was done boiling she took two cups and set them down on the little table in front of them before filling them with tea.
"So tell me, is destroying the world the only way to get what you want?" She asked as she took the cup and took a sip.
"It's the only option remaining." He answered taking the cup and taking a sip as well.
"But the world is different now isn't it? People are a tad more open minded. You could try other ways without hurting people."
Minho looked at her. "No it's not, you just want to protect your own kind just like I do."
She shook her head. "No, I mean I do, I want the world to be at peace. I want people safe but I also want you to be safe. I don't want any of you dying either. It's not fair and you know it. They'll find a way to win and you will be slaughtered even the complete innocent demons."
"Why do you care about demon kind?" He asked her honestly really curious to know. He could feel her words were genuine but he didn't trust her.
"Because we are all equal and for years they've treated you differently for no apparent reason but that they are scared and think they are better. They try to control what they fear so it doesn't retaliate."
Minho scoffed. "Well they obviously failed."
Yuqi chuckled. "It was time someone stood up for demon kind. I'll help you free your kind, I just hope there's another way without bloodshed."
"And what if there wasn't?" Minho asked cocking his eyebrow. "Then if that's the only way, I'll still help." She said determined and Minho couldn't help view her in a different light without even noticing. He gave her a small smile and Yuqi smiled back at him.
