Rose's Point Of View:
"I've never met you but I'm about to change your life" is the first thing my best friend Lorenzo said to me.
This was 4 years ago, I still remember this since I've been journaling since I was about 7. I wrote about him when I first met him this was in 5th grade it was on December 8th, 2020.
I still remember it because it was a crucial day in my life. Also, he was being such an asshole that day. I feel like he was just always doing little things to piss me off. He did that for about two more years after that.
We hated each other, since 5th grade that all changed in 8th grade. That's a story for another day though.
Enzo is one of my best friends one of the things I lo-
"Helloo? Rose?? Earth To Rose!!" Enzo said.
Oh shit! I forgot we were in the cafeteria, being so lost in my thoughts reminiscing while listening to graduation. The lyrics were speaking to me, asking for me to reminisce,
"Huh, as we go on, we remember,
All the times we spent together,
As our lives change from whatever,
We will still be, friends forever."
"Huh?" I said to Enzo.
"Girl you have to stop zoning out.." Said, Autumn.
"My bad, you know how am. What were y'all saying?"
"Well, we heard you blasting graduation, through your AirPods so we started talking about how we want our graduation to go, Ananya said.
"Oh yeah," I say.
I got up from my seat, to stretch and throw my lunch away.
"Aye, Rose can you come to the bathrooms with us real quick?" Autumn says.
"Yeah."
We walked to the bathroom, real quick.
"Yeah... What's up y'all?"
They both made eye contact with each other.
"So... What's up?" I say a little more firmly.
"Well, we both realized you always have your AirPod in.... like to another level, like you barely ever talk to us," Autumn said.
"When you don't you're talking to Enzo."
"Also, you always listening to Since 9th grade, Beautiful, Love Songs, Perfect, Thinking Out Loud, This Is Love, Another Love Song, and other love songs..." Ananya says.
What the hell... What point are they trying to make?
It really didn't make the situation better that I was listening to the Perfect, duet. At Beyoncé's part. As she sang "Well, baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms" I smile.
"You like Enzo, don't you?"
"Bruh... you can't be serious," I said
"We're deadass," Autumn says.
