I'm still worried about Enzo, I don't know where he's at. He said he'd be back. The weird thing is, I saw him leave with a blue slip. Blue slips are only for like, special times leaving the class. I think I did him say something about the school psychologist. I feel like Ananya would know. So I text her.
Me: Aye u hear anything about where Enzo went when he was talking to Mr. Naujour
I hear a ding, and feel a vibration on my watch, about 10 seconds later.
Ananya: Ofc I did
Ananya: I heard him say sum bout Nel who's I think the school psychologist 🤷♀️
YES, I was right! I get up immediately. I head to Mr. Abe's desk, I have not heard a single word from this man's mouth the entire class. The first thing I hear is him say,
"And that's why and how global warming is affecting the earth."
Me, Autumn and Ananya all look at each other. I know for a fact we all hear the same thing. Juice saying,
"Turn off the news, it's fucked up
Global warming again, it's 5 p.m., let's get fucked up until the morning again."
When I reach Mr. Abe's desk I say to him, "Can I go to the library?"
"Yeah, sure, why though?"
"There's something wrong with my computer, it like froze or something," I lie.
"Yeah go ahead," he says in a tired tone while handing me the pass.
"Should I bring all my stuff or...?"
"Umm.... yeah since there's only 15 minutes left of class."
Damn, only 15 minutes left. Enzo's been there for almost an hour.
"Okay," I say.
I head back to my desk, and I look at Ananya and I watch as her lips read, Where are you going? I point to my watch, as a sign of to text me. As I pack up my backpack, I quickly check my watch as the time reads 2:22.
Right after leaving the class, I quickly open my phone and go to Safari. I quickly look up how to make a computer freeze. I typed it so fast I accidentally typed how to mak a computer freze. Since Safari knows what I'm trying to look up I click on the correct search. I see people also asked since nothing immediately popped up. I press the one that says, How do I freeze a computer screen?
It says,
1. For Windows PC: Use Ctrl-Alt-Del - Select Lock OR Windows Key + L
2. For Mac: Use a screen saver on your Mac.
3. For mobile devices: Don't store anything you're not willing to lose.
I rapidly bring my backpack off my back and set it on the ground. I'm still in front of my class, where I can tell I'm not seen. I get on a knee and pull out my laptop from the laptop pocket. I speedily did the Ctrl-Alt-Del method.
Then I finally began to walk towards the library. I see my texts build up quickly, so I answer Ananya's question.
Me: My computer "froze" 💀
Ananya: lemme guess u acc js gonna check if Enzo there 💀💀
Me: yea 😭😭😭
I get to the library and see the librarian, I take my AirPods like I just saw Ms. Le. Even though I know, Mr. Lewis won't take your phone or AirPods, if he only sees them out I still wanna be safe.
"Hi, Mr. Lewis. I got laptop trouble," I say in a soft tone.
"What kind of trouble?"
"It froze..." I say nervously.
"Oh, that I could fix pretty quick. You know you are the second student to come here in the last hour?" He says
"Who Enzo?" I say in a fake laughing tone.
"Yeah actually. How'd you know, you come here to just see him?" He asks suspiciously "I know how close you guys are."
"No of course not, look my laptop is actually frozen," I say in a lie.
"Alright," he says in a still suspicious tone.
I put my backpack down about a minute ago, then I open my backpack to get my laptop.
"Here, look it's frozen," I say while handing him my laptop.
As he checks my laptop I look around the library, knowing Enzo's in one of the rooms behind me.
"Yep, your laptop is frozen. Let me go in the back, and grab my binder. It's basically a guide to everything possibly wrong with a student's computer. And solutions to those problems," He says in a formal tone.
Right after I'm out of his sight, I quickly bring my arm down in excitement. I'm so glad it worked, I sprint over to the other side of the library where I see the school psychologist's office is. I quickly peek through, I think I hear Enzo talking, but I still can't tell. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but Ananya did say that he did say something about Nel. I also heard him most likely say something about, the school psychologist.
I run back to where Mr. Lewis is since, I see him almost coming back.
"Alright, I got the binder!" He says while putting it above his head to show me. Even though I can perfectly see it in his hand, by his waist.
I watch him flip to a certain place in the binder, labeled as Frozen/Slow Performance. He flips through 4 pieces of notebook paper. He reads it, and I watch him as he fixes it. He uses the power button holding it down for 60 seconds.
"There you go, your computer is fixed. Did you see what I did? He asks as I check my watch, as the time reads 2:35, I hear the bell ring.
"Yeah, I saw thank you."
"You're welcome," He says genuinely.
As I begin to walk out of the library, I hear a familiar voice, say my name.
"Rose?" As I look behind me I look into those familiar, charming honey eyes, which I immediately recognize as Enzo's.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: The whole part about unfreezing a computer, I completely made that up. Who knows maybe it does, the chances of it working are probably pretty low. I barely know anything about computers, that part about how to freeze a computer was true though, thanks to Google...
