Rose's Point Of View:
With a hint of sass, I ask them for about 5 solid reasons why they think I am interested in Enzo.
I had put my AirPods away about five minutes ago since they claimed I always had them in.
"Guys, you know I don't like him like that," I say.
"Rose, Autumn, and Ananya!" Charlotte yells while entering the bathroom scaring all three of us.
"Girl, don't do that!" Ananya says.
"Enzo's waiting for y'all outside. He can't even take less than 10 minutes without you."
Me, Autumn, and Ananya all look at each other, grinning.
"Ten minutes, she told me it would take ten minutes,
To break my heart, oh no, she didn't,
Fuck livin', I'ma drown in my sorrow,
Fuck givin', I'ma take not borrow."
We all sing.
"Man, I love all girls are the same," Ananya says, laughing.
"For real," I say while dabbing her up.
"Ow," I say, shaking my hand in pain as if it were falling asleep.
"Also, can y'all just stop with the whole Me liking Enzo thing? It's very annoying. That man doesn't like me, and I don't like him." I say.
"Oh, so he's a man now?" Autumn says with a smirk on her face.
"Ya'll such, I need new friends," I say jokingly while laughing.
"Come on, lunch is gonna end in like 15 minutes, and Enzo's waiting."
When I walk out of the bathroom he gets up, he has his AirPods in. I hear it faint, but I can tell it's perfect that's playing.
"What you listen to?" I ask while walking towards him, even though I could tell.
I see him glance at his phone and skips a few songs forward.
"Oh, just listening to Favorite Song."
He shows me it's only seven seconds in. Now I know he's lying.
"You know I know you're lying. I literally could hear Perfect. It was faint, but I could still hear It. I could hear Bru singing, "We were just kids when we fell in love."
"Also, why is Favorite Song only a few seconds in?" I say in a slightly flirty tone smiling.
"Okay, so what if I just started Favorite Song and may or may not have listened to Perfect?" He says also smiling.
"GET A ROOM!!" Screams Autumn from behind us.
I give her a stare that says, What the hell are you doing!!
We slightly back up from each other.
"Come on y'all, we got French class next," I say, looking at my watch as the time reads, 12:44 since the bell is about to ring.
I walk towards Autumn, Ananya, and Charlotte while putting my AirPods in.
"Why. Like. Why Just. Why." I say even without really asking. More of a statement, than a question.
"Cause all you did was prove our point." Ananya says. I roll my eyes while going on Apple Music. As I scrolled down on my RNB playlist, I see Without You and press play.
Lorenzo is ahead of me by a lot, but I can still see him.
As Mariah sings
"Can't live if living is without you,

We'll, I can't forget this evening,
Or your face as you were leaving."
It makes me think what if my friends are right? What if I do actually like Enzo?
