Enzo's Point Of View:

I let Charlotte in about 15 minutes ago. She told her the whole situation about her and her mom, and Mom is gonna let her stay the night, so that's coo'. She's sitting on the couch right now, while I'm taking laps around the living room.

"So why did you go here again?"

"Cause, Rose, Autumn or Ananya couldn't let me stay the night."

"I thought you said you were at your neighbor's?"

"I was, they said I could stay there for an hour. But I didn't want to be a hassle to deal with so I left within the first 20 minutes."

"Oh." I say then I come to a realizations, "But wait, I thought you live on the whole other side of the city? The Muni buses don't go to this part of the city all like that. And stop at a certain time, and there's no direct route here. So how'd you even get here?"

"Took an Uber," she says casually.

"You took a Uber? Why are you takin' Uber's in San Francisco?"

"Cause, I don't wanna take the bus, with crackheads and homeless people. And why do that when I could call an Uber with less chances of getting me killed or some?"

"You're so dramatic."

"Nah. It's just my charm. That's why I got Rose, Autumn, and Ananya as my best friend, 'cause we are all dramatic as hell." I laugh,

"True y'all are dramatic as hell."

I sit down on the couch next to her, and we sit in silence for about two minutes until I hear Mom coming down the stairs. She peaks her head where the railing, going up the stairs ends, and says,

"Charlotte, come on. I'll show you to the guest room."

"Okay," she says while getting up from the couch. She goes to grab her backpack right next to her, but I get up and grab her bag before her.

"Nah, I got it, just let my mom show you to the guest room."

"Okay, thanks," she says while giving me a smile. Then, she began to make her way up the stairs.

Damn. Her bag is heavy as hell. The hell kinda shit girls be carrying in their bags? As I turn the corner, to start making my way up the stairs I take a deep breath. Why can't I just get this night over with? I'm just tranna go to sleep, already it's 9:30, I just want it to be tomorrow already. There was just something today that was just, so stressful, and a lot. I continue walking up the stairs, and drop her bag at the top when I get there, taking another deep breath. I hear someone walking down the hall - it's Romeo.

"Aye, so what Charlotte staying the night or some?"

"Yeah."

"How is that supposed to help you with Rose?" I open my mouth to question him, before he lets out, "Don't you think she'll be mad or something that you let her best friend stay the night at your house?"

"No. I don't. Why in any way shape or form would she be mad that I let her best friend stay the night? Shit, if anything she'll be glad that the two out of her four are getting along and bonding. Especially when she know that me and Charlotte don't really talk all like that."

"Okay, I'm just saying. I've had similar situations." I feel like he's just making shit up, and bullshitting, but who knows?

"What situations? How could you of all people have had a similar situation?" I ask humorously.

"Okay, I may or may not be bullshitting, and have just said some to make you feel better. But I'm for real, girls will trip, if they see you getting too close to their best friends. Or at least from what I've seen on IG and TikTok."

"Whatever bruh. I'm done with y'all lil' girl tips." I say while walking pass him. As I turn the corner, I hear Mom and Charlotte talking. Mom and Charlotte are both super talkative, so I just hope Mom isn't talking Charlotte's ear off. But honestly knowing how Charlotte is, by now she'd be doing the same, talkin' Mom's ear off. The first thing I hear is,

"I feel like he likes Rose to be honest," it's Mom. Dammit. Why she gotta call me out like that? I just hope, that she doesn't fully know the truth, and find out that she's right. Cause Mom is a hard person to admit when she's wrong, and loves when she's right. I honestly might just eavesdrop for the next few minutes.

"I KNOW RIGHT!! And he's being more of a gentleman."

"His dad told me, he got the door for her this afternoon," so that's how she knows. Dammit. Again. "Did you know?"

"Yep. Rose told me like 10 minutes after." Ha of course she did. That's just great. Typical Rose.

"Andd, he got his backpack for me. Which if I think about it, it's kinda weird considering that he seems pretty interested in Rose right now.

"Oh Charlotte, he's just being nice. He's always been like that." I think I should say something now. Nah I'll wait a few more seconds actually.

"Now that I think about it, where is he?"

Yep. I should definitely walk in now. As I walk in I see Mom turn her head towards me, and they're sitting on the floor.

"Oh, speak of the devil," Mom says laughing.

"What? Ya'll talkin' shit?" I say jokingly.

"Boy, ain't nobody talkin' shit about you." She says with sass and an attitude while looking up at me.

"Chill out, it was a joke. Learn to take one. Damn."

"Whatever," she says while rolling her eyes. Yep she's definitely annoyed with me, all I did was make a joke. She honestly takes everything personally.

"Well, here's your backpack," I say, sounding dead inside while dropping it to the ground. With it making a thudding sound. Which is kinda weird, since we have carpet. She must have bricks in there or some shit, cause damn it's heavy. I ain't weak or nun', I went to the gym a few times. And I try to work out every Wednesday after my hour or hour and a half of therapy with Jarad. It's only meant to be an hour, but Jarad's such a good guy and I got a lot to tell so they for an hour and a half sometimes.

"Well, I'm going to my room and," I somehow manage to catch myself in a yawn. "Go to sleep," I finish.

"Alright, well good night Lorenzo," Charlotte says while getting up and undoing the conformer laid out, in the guest bedroom.

"Night," I say back. "And night Mom," I say. As I watch Mom come towards me, she pulls me into a tight hug. I also see Charlotte with a big smile on her face, I guess she's not mad at me anymore, and then she frowns.  Then I remember how she doesn't have a good relationship with her own mom. So seeing this must make her sad and happy.

"Goodnight son," Mom says. As she pulls me out of the hug I say goodnight again to Mom and Charlotte, again and head to my room. And as soon as my head hits my pillow, it's already morning.

And as soon as my head hits my pillow, it's already morning
