Enzo's Point Of View:

It's currently 6:45. Since Violet texted me I've been contemplating whether to block or just delete her number, period. I also took a shower, studied, and did my homework. Gotta make sure them A's stay straight as a beam of light. (I can be a bit of a nerd sometimes)

Mom said we're gotta eat dinner in like, five it's been five minutes. I walk downstairs and get a good strong whiff of the chilli mac. While Mom's serving up dinner, I hear the garage open. I know it's Romeo, he usually gets home around 6:00. I guess he's a little late today.

"Hi, Mom," I say while turning the corner, and seeing her, serve up the second plate.

"Hey Lorenzo, I heard, that you were being a gentleman to Rose, this afternoon. I'm glad you know your manners, but why? You like her or something?"

Dammit. The way she said something, got me. Why do Moms literally know, and catch on to literally everything? Like what do I even say?

"Momm" I drag the m at the end, "were just friends. I just felt like being nice, I just feel like I haven't been appreciating her enough."

"Okay okay, if you really believe what you preach," she says with a smile.

What the hell is happening today? Why is everyone questioning me?

"Yes Mom, I do."

I hear the garage door open and see my light-skinned older brother walk in, I walk towards him.

"Sup Romey," I say while dabbing him, up with a hug right after.

"Bro I told you to stop calling me that."

"What you want me to call you? Rome? Roro?"

"Ro," He says super blanky.

"What is that what all your wannabe cool friends call you now?"

"Stop acting like you didn't used to call me that when you were like 1/2. And that you don't call me that all the time.

"No, I used to Omi, since I couldn't pronounce the R."

"How you know?" He says cocky.

"Mom told me."

"That's true he did used to say Omi. It was adorable," Mom says smiling at us.

"And no, my friends are not wannabes, and they call me Big Rome."

I laugh, he's literally hella short that makes no sense.

"Big Rome really? Bro you like 5'5 you're not big. There's nothing big on your body. You have no muscle, you broke as hell."

"Alright bro, chill the hell out and sit the fuck down," Romeo says.

"Rome you're my brother, and I love you, but shut the hell up."

I suddenly hear a being throat cleared behind me, I turn around and see Mom holding two bowls of chilli mac in her hands.

"Can y'all stop arguing, and sit down."

"Oh, sorry Ma," Ro says.

"Mhhm sit down."

We sit down it's about one minute of silence before someone says something.

"Where's your dad?" Mom asks.
