One Last Time

24th July, Italy.

There are no words to describe that final show. Like seriously. Whenever I even try I get so choked up that I have to stop.
Even after over a decade of watching Harry perform, he can still surprise me. It was something beyond special. I don't think there's a word in the dictionary to describe the emotions of that night.

"I will remember this evening and all of this for the rest of my life. Thank you for letting me a part of this. Thank you for dedicating your time to me. Thank you for listening to me. Thank you for being amazing. Thank you for everything.
I have people here tonight who have supported me in so many ways over the past 13 years in ways you can only imagine. I would not be on this stage without their love and support.

My family are here tonight. My friends are here tonight. Thank you to my family. I was doing so well! Thank you for the support. Thank you for loving me in the way that you have. My friends are here tonight. Thank you for having my back always. I love you all so much. Thank you. I have a lot of things to feel incredibly lucky for in life but I feel luckiest for my friends support. It allows me to do this. I am so full right now. I've never been happier in my entire life.

Secondly, to you all. Thank you for doing this with me. That you trust me. Thank you for giving your time. Your energy. This show is what it is because of everything you have done every night.

The last 2 years of my life. The last 2 years of this tour has been the greatest experience I could ever ask for. It has been an honour to play for the most wonderful, emotionally generous group of people. The future that I see standing before me. I don't get to do this if you guys don't come. Thank you for being here tonight. I know you want to make it special for me but you make it special every night. Whatever this feeling you feel in this crowd tonight, I feel it. What you create together, it's the most inspiring thing I've ever seen in my life. The atmosphere you have created, the family you have created, the safe space you have created.

Thank you for everything. I know feeling incredibly small in this world can be really difficult sometimes but you can do anything. I see it all the time in the little things you do. The way you treat eachother in the crowd.

I see it-the love- in how it's affected all the people around me. Continue to affect people. It does not end with this tour. It doesn't end when this tour ends. Put some love out into the world. It really needs it now. I love you and I'll miss you. You have not only changed my life, you have made the happiest. I'm so thrilled, I'm so happy. There's lots of emotions tonight. It's been a long time and I just want to thank you very seriously for what this been for me. You've changed my life.

None of you are alone. Look around. Look at how many people there are here. We're all the same. I love you."

I mean, he worries and worries but he always has the most perfect words for the occasion.
I danced, I cried, I celebrated along with a large crowd of family and friends that had become family. It was probably the most special night I had ever had.
I knew Harry wanted me backstage for when he come off and finished his performance but I became entranced with watching the emotions cross his face on the big screen as fireworks lit up the night sky. It was a sight I would never forget for the rest of my life.

By the time I fought my way through the packed crowd of people and made it around backstage to Harry, everyone was already off stage and huddled in a tight circle. I stood and watched them and welled up immediately. The emotion in the air was so palpable. You get it.

The night went into a raucous party with what felt like Italy's entire stock of booze. There was dancing on the bar and kitchen counters and "tequila shots all round" screamed throughout the massive villa that had been hired out for the occasion. It was wild and everyone there let loose. The crew and the band and Harry deserved every bit of it. The hardest working team in the whole damn world.
