Although Jennie didn't know much about the characters of Theo and Mrs. Kim, she could still feel that Theo was a more traditional male chauvinist.

Because of Taehyung's attitude of neither cold nor warm towards her on the wedding day, Theo was suspicious of her. If they knew that Taehyung didn't return in two years, that Jangmi never knows about her father, it would be a big uproar.

"Madam, Mr. Kim and his assistant could not be reached by the phone." Darna, another servant from the family, came with a phone and said with a troubled expression.

Jennie nodded. "All right, I understand."

After that, she stood alone in the bedroom. When she saw the photo of Jangmi and her on the table next to the bed, her delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly.

When she walked out of the bedroom and went downstairs, Jennie saw Mrs. Kim, who had woken up at some point, sitting on the couch with Taehyung's grandmother and watching TV. At her feet was a white Labrador Retriever.

"Guiying, you're awake?" When Mrs. Kim saw Jennie, a dissatisfied expression appeared on her face. She exclaimed, "How did you educate my granddaughter? So scared of strangers? Which child from our Kim Family would be so shy? Also, why is she so skinny? How do you take care of your child!"

A look of disgust appeared in Mrs. Kim's eyes when she looked at how well-maintained Jennie was. "You're no longer young, you're already twenty-eight, right? Why are you still only concerned with yourself and not your children?"

Jennie walked over and didn't have time to reply to Mrs. Kim . She glanced hesitantly at the dog at her feet and said, "Mom, Jangmi is indeed a little afraid of strangers. She will be fine when she is older. After all, she is only three years old. But ..."

She tried to keep her voice even as she said, "Where did this dog come from?"

"Taehyung's grandma loves to keep pets. Yesterday, after getting off the plane, she passed a pet store and loved this dog, so we bought it. Coincidentally, I saw your house doesn't have pets, so once we leave, this dog will leave here for you to take care of. I heard that Americans love to let dogs and kids grow up together, so Jangmi will definitely love this little thing."

Jennie was about to open her mouth and said something, but she stopped herself.

Although Mrs. Kim had a temper and her words were not gentle enough, but she didn't have hidden motives. It's understandable that she wanted to give Jangmi a cute little gift, but ...

Jangmi's health was not good. She was allergic to pet hair. It wouldn't be good to Jangmi if Jennie didn't say anything, but if she did, Mrs. Kim might not be happy.

"Jangmi, come here." Mrs. Kim stood up and walked over to them. She smiled and bent down to hug Jangmi.

Jangmi stood in place and stared at Mrs. Kim, at loss of what to do. Then she raised her head to look at her mother again, clinging to her (Jennie) feet, not wanting to let Mrs. Kim carried her.
