Taehyung today was very different from the usual Taehyung. Jennie didn't know why he suddenly talked to her so patiently or why he suddenly told her the truth about his feelings for her. She didn't know how he could still sit so calmly on the edge of the bed, quietly watching her expression.

Under her cold questioning, he only pursed his lips slightly.

Jennie took a deep breath and grinned, "I used eleven years of love for you to notice me. In the name of love, I had never hated you before, even when you mistreated me."

She stepped back step by step, looking at the indescribable tenderness and the faint trace of apology in his eyes. Step by step, she retreated to the door. "But now, I can't figure it out. I thought that no matter how far you went, I wouldn't hate you ...But you proved me wrong."

Jennie watched him as she slowly retreated until she reached the door. Suddenly, she sneered at him before opening the door and walked out quickly.

The sound of the door slamming shut struck people's hearts. Taehyung didn't chase after her; instead, he stood up and walked to the window. He pulled open the curtain and silently looked out at the brightly lit night of Seoul through the window.

'I thought I wouldn't hate you no matter what you did to me.'

'I thought I wouldn't hate you for the rest of my life.'

That's right!

How could she not hate him?

More than a week ago, Taehyung was lying in a hospital bed at a private hospital in Boston, preparing to undergo surgery.

Acute enteritis broke out too thoroughly. Perhaps it was because he had been too immersed in business all year round and had been eating unhealthy foods, his stomach could no longer hold it anymore and acute enteritis strikes him.

He stayed in the hospital for a week for observation and temporarily cut off contact with the outside world. However, on the second day of his stay, he asked Huang Jingguo to go to the hotel where he had stayed with Jennie before to investigate the matter.

In these few years, he had no intention of investigating anything related to the matter, including accessing the video footage.

However, the look on Jennie's face when she proposed the divorce and the time they spent together had caused his anger and disapproval towards her to gradually dissipate.

That day when she asked for a divorce, he saw the tears she shed after hugging him. It was not that he didn't feel anything. Torturing a woman he cared about and seeing how hurt she was, he finally realized how cruel he was to her.

However, he was still unwilling to investigate the truth about that incident. It was as if he didn't want to open the wounds he didn't want to touch.

But after a day in the hospital, when the doctor wouldn't let him leave, while he was lying in his bed without doing anything, Taehyung was finally able to calm down and think about many things that had happened.

Nine days ago.

The ward door was pushed open and the doctor was checking Taehyung's condition besides the bed. He told him how much operational risk would happen tomorrow and so on.

Yeonjun came in and put the file bag on the table. "Boss, this is what you want."

"Many years have passed, how can you find it so quickly?" Taehyung asked casually before signaling the doctor to leave.

"It's just that the surveillance footage in the hotel lobby, as well as the surveillance footage in the elevator and corridor, are easy to find as long as I use some connections. However, I can't find the one in the room." Yeonjun said.
