Chapter 57

This was the first time Taehyung kissed her on his own accord and the first time in years he had kissed her while he was still awake.

Jennie didn't like to cry. However, everything that had happened in the last twelve years flashed through her eyes. She closed her eyes and let the tears fall into their intertwined mouths.

Taehyung tasted the salty taste and immediately paused. He raised his hand and touched the bottom of her eyelid. Sure enough, he felt tears. The entangled kiss slowly turned soft, as if it was an apology and also as if it was expressing something.

Jennie suddenly remembered that when her daughter was seriously ill, this man was with other women in the apartment. In an instant, a disgusting feeling spread all over her body and she pushed Taehyung , who suddenly became gentle, away and began to retch.

Taehyung staggered a little from the sudden pushes and his face immediately darkened as he switched on the lights. He quickly saw Jennie leaning against the wall with a pale face, vomiting on the ground.

"Ugh ..." Jennie's legs felt weak. She could only prop herself against the wall, hoping she could spit out everything in her stomach. She felt disgusted.

"You ..." Taehyung frowned. Seeing her expression too unsightly, he tried to help her. "Jennie, does your stomach hurt?"

As soon as Jennie's arm was held by his hand, she suddenly backed away and pushed him away. She got up from the ground and sat down at the nearby chair with a tired expression. She raised a hand to her forehead as she felt a pain in her head.

"What's the matter with you? If you're not feeling well, I'll take you to the doctor." Taehyung patiently went to check her face. "Do you have medicine here?"

"Don't touch me!" Jennie raised her eyes and looked at him with rejection.

Taehyung's hands suddenly paused in the air. The concern in his eyes was clear. However, such concern made Jennie feel even more disgusted.

What to worry about? They had reached this step, why should he care about her? Didn't he have Sowon?

After all, Sowon was a young and beautiful woman who had never given birth. Whether it's her figure or her appearance, everything about her was more interesting than anything else. She knew this. Jennie always knew about this.

Thinking about everything that happened to her in the hospital that day, she suddenly felt like laughing. As a result, she actually laughed.

"You're the one who made me sick!" Jennie looked at Taehyung with a cold smile.

Taehyung just looked at her before finally putting down his hand. The concern in his eyes gradually faded, leaving behind only calmness.

Jennie clutched her chest and took a deep breath. The air was bad after the shop's door was shut tightly, so she could only pat her chest. Disgust in her eyes was deep.

Taehyung didn't say anything and when he saw her face turn from white to red due to breathing problems, he immediately opened the door halfway. As he opened the door, he heard Jennie's voice.

"You can go. I don't want to see you again."

He turned around and looked at her.

Jennie didn't look at him. She closed her eyes, digging her fingers into her palms. Her ears were still filled with Sowon's voice that day and the sound of the machine in her daughter's ward.

She couldn't forget everything that happened that day. Words by words Sowon uttered to her, that's why she feels disgusted.

Even though they had divorced, it still didn't mean those twelve years' feelings and memories could easily disappear within time. Otherwise, she wouldn't feel anything.
