Taehyung immediately looked up at him. When he saw the gossipy look in Yeonjun's eyes, he frowned, "You ..."

He wanted to ask how he knew, but considering Jennie had lived there for two years, and he was sent there by this brat last night, it was natural for him to know about this.

Therefore, Taehyung just looked at Yeonjun and said lightly, "Give me the minutes of the meeting."

"Oh." Yeonjun quickly walked forward and placed the folder in his hand on the table next in front of Taehyung.

"I have to leave the company early this afternoon. Check this matter with the Vice President. I've checked it out and found no difference. Let him take full responsibility for this case." As he spoke, Taehyung took a seat on his chair.

"This afternoon?" Yeonjun was stunned.

"Why?" Sensing there was something wrong with his voice, Taehyung looked up.

Yeonjun immediately scratched his head. "Boss, I was just about to tell you, I want to take a leave of absence this afternoon. I have something urgent to deal with at home."

Yeonjun rarely asked for leave, as he had always been Taehyung's assistant. Taehyung was a little surprised by his sudden request, but he just looked at him and asked, "What's wrong?"

"My wife is pregnant." Yeonjun's face suddenly lit up. "You also participated in our wedding two years ago. She finally got pregnant. It's been three months and I want to bring her to the hospital for her checkup."

Although Taehyung didn't know much about the maternity checkup, he could vaguely guess what it was. Although he didn't intend to force him to stay for work, he continued to casually ask, "If it's just for a checkup, can't your parents accompany her?"

Yeonjun smiled. "Firstly, she is my wife. Secondly, she is carrying my child in her womb. Whether it is as a husband or as a father, I don't want to miss every opportunity to be by her side. So... Boss, I may be taking occasional leave of absence in recent months, but I'll try to finish my job when I'm not particularly busy."

Taehyung suddenly stopped browsing the document and just looked at Yeonjun.

Yeonjun was a bit scared by the stare and could not help but ask, "Boss? You can't be so cruel as to stifle my dream of being a dutiful father, right?"

Taehyung just smiled coldly and leaned back. He casually laid down one hand on the edge of the table and looked at Yeonjun's excited but disturbed expression. "You punk, I haven't seen you so nervous in years."

Yeonjun immediately laughed. "Boss, this is human nature!"

"Human nature?" Taehyung suddenly remembered the strange feeling he had when he hugged Jangmi this morning.

Maybe.

It was human nature.

He did not speak.

"Boss, you're saying that I'm allowed to go on leave?"

Taehyung swept a glance at him. "Your wife is incredibly blessed right now."

"No, I'm the one who is supposed to be blessed by having her as my wife." Yeonjun immediately smiled. "At first, she was very happy, but ever since she carried our child, she started to vomit every day, and after drinking a glass of water, she had to run to the washroom to vomit again. When I go back home from work every night and see her in such a state, I can't bear it."

When he said that, Yeonjun's eyes were filled with a bit of heartache and guilt due to being unable to help his wife.

Taehyung only glanced at him for a moment but said nothing. He waved his hand, indicating that Yeonjun could go now.
