Leopold stood in front of the large to the Spirit Kingdom castle with Mist at his side. He tried not to look at the small boy, being worried that he could "slip up" and ruin his life... THAT FREAKING KID WAS A PRINCE OF THE SPIRITS?! HOW?!
"Lemia did mention that her mother had given birth to another kid, but that wasn't too long ago! That means that this boy would have needed to been born six or so years ago..." Leopold sighed, scratching his head in annoyance. Why did his life have to be so painful all the time? Was a normal existence where he got ONE wife and kid while living in the countryside enough?
"You seem nervous again, mister. It's not good for your health..." Mist observed.
"Yeah, but I think that getting involved with mean bakers in the middle of the streets while in your condition may be worse..." Leopold shot back. "How did you get outside the castle anyway? Wouldn't your mother be watching you?"
Mist frowned and shook his head. "She's been sick lately so Big sis Lemia has to watch her health. And then there's father who's to busy being king and stuff... And big sis is busy with marriage talks..."
"Marriage talks!" Leopold exclaimed. "But she's only ten years old! True, father made me get engaged at nine years of age..."
"I do find it peculiar, but there isn't nothing I can really do at six years old..." Mist explained. "So, I snuck out into the city to have some fun! But I got lost and then injured and then hungry..."
Leopold nodded as he patted Mist on the back. "Well you can get washed up soon, so I think that you'll be fine." Leopold recalled how he had found the boy, dirty and ragged...
"Most people would have just gone about their business and left a kid like him on his own... Good thing that I chose not to." Leopold thought in pride. "Lemia would be mad if she found out... True, she's kind of cute when mad."
Finally, after a few minutes of waiting, the gates to the castle courtyard started to slowly open as a clear view of what was hiding behind them could now be seen my Leopold and Mist. When they were finally opened fully, a man and woman ran up to Mist as the man picked him up and held him in his arms.
"Mist! I was so worried about you, son!" he cried in relief. Leopold observed the looks of the man who he guessed to be Mist's father. He had a light blue color of hair, a tired look, and wore fancy clothes.
Then there was the woman beside him. She had long hair of the same color as the man's, however her face was more lively and it looked incredibly beautiful... And her aura was as calm as the oceans during a nice summer day...
"Where have you been?" the woman asked Mist. "You shouldn't just run off like that! Your a prince and one of only six years at that! What if you had been kidnapped or worse?!" She seemed worried for Mist's actions, but still hugged him with a tearful expression on her face. "Never do that to your big sis again!"
After a few moments of reunion between the royal family, the three of them looked back at Leopold with curious looks. It was the woman who spoke to him.
"Leopold?"
Leopold scratched his head with a nervous look on his face as he walked up to the woman. "How have you been, Lemia? Sorry that I didn't tell you I was coming..."
She smiled and then hugged her engaged partner. "It's fine, Leo. Just an unexpected surprise is all!" Lemia looked back at her brother, Mist, and frowned. "So, it was you who found my brother..."
"Yes. I found him while walking through the streets. He was looking for food, so I bought some bread for him and let him eat it. Then, we came here after he requested I take him. Still, I never expected for him to be a prince..." Leopold explained.
