The smoke that clouded the battlefield started to clear after a few short moments of silence. Every being that had come to attack the city under the control of Vinhold... Every one had been wiped out before anyone could even bat an eye.

The casualties for Vinhold: 0

The casualties for the attackers: 45,000

Taking a deep breath, Leopold looked down on his foes. Lifeless bodies laid below him, all helpless as he mercilessly defeated one after the other. They had all fallen at the hands of one man... Not even Vinhold's knights had been able to defeat a single one of their enemies... And yet he killed 45,000 of them in the matter of a few short seconds.

Leopold saw one of his foes looking at him from off to the side. He was barely hanging on to the last bit of life within him as the rest of his remaining comrades did the same. The look in his eyes was filled with terror.

The boy clutched his fists. "He's so terrified of this power... He sees me as some sort of monster..."  Leopold frowned. "No point dwelling on it right now."  He walked over to the formerly mentioned man who was still looking at Leopold in fear. The blond swordsman bent down and looked the man in his eyes.

"Tell me... why did you attack this city?" he asked in a cold tone. "What was your reason for attacking a city such as this one? What did it offer you?" There had to be some reason they had staged this chaotic situation. Did the city have something they wanted? Why would they attack a place so far away from important cities and people? What was going on?

The man frowned. "I-I don't know... W-We were forced by our leader to attack so our families weren't injured... I-I don't know why..."

"So they were blackmailed into doing this... Unfortunate that I don't get any information, but at least they aren't all scumbags..."  Leopold thought to himself.

He smiled. "I see. Tell me, do you feel alright dying now? Your family won't ever be able to see you again..."

The man slowly nodded. "If they aren't going to be put in danger then I can die in peace."  He took one last deep breath before the light faded from his eyes.

Leopold took his hand and carefully closed the man's eyes. "It's a shame that he had to die like this... So much more of his life could have been lived..."  With that now done, Leopold got on his feet and looked back at the partially destroyed city.

"Guess I need to head back now..."

"SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO WIPE OUT THE ENTIRE ENEMY FORCE ALL BY YOURSELF?! JUST WHAT KIND OF MONSTER ARE YOU?!" was the first thing Leopold heard from Leviathan after he got back to his friends.

"It wasn't much really... They were all just weak is all." Leopold calmly stated. "I'm sure that the knights from Vinhold could have defeated the enemy without my help. It was just a precautionary measure..."

Leviathan narrowed his eyes. "You do realize that the knights were struggling to defeat our foes until you showed up, right? You are so weird..."

From beside Leviathan, the Vincent girl was laughing at the two boy's hilarious conversation. "Levi, I haven't ever seen you get to emotional before... It's kind of funny to watch."

The boy blushed at Emerald's words. "I-I'm just trying to prove a point miss!" He looked Leopold straight into is eyes and frowned. "No one man should be as strong as you are..."

"I am telling you that they were just weak!" Leopold once more shouted.

"Far from it."

The three had their attention's averted from the conversation as a group of familiar individuals approached them. It was the Vinhold Inteligence Force that Leopold had spoken to just a bit before the present. They seemed to be eager to talk to him about something as their expressions seemed to represent that idea.
