Leopold, Axel, Diablo, Leviathan, and a force of one hundred Spirit soldiers stood in the courtyard of the Spirt Kingdom's palace as they waited to head off for the village so as to fight the bandits who awaited them.
"How do you know that the bandits will have stayed, Leo?" the boy had been asked by Leviathan just before they were about to leave.
He scratched his head. "I guess... I just think that since the bandits aren't too keen on our existence, they will want to get rid of us. A direct fight would be their best option..."
Leopold's friend nodded to his answer. "I see... So your plan is to beat them at their own game by sending in a larger force to fight then, correct?"
"For the most part..."
Leopold wasn't really sure that his plan would work to be honest. He had been in some small skirmishes before, but none that had required him to lead an entire campaign against anyone!
"It's kind of terrifying to be honest..." he admitted to himself.
"Alright, men!" Axel finally called to the force of Spirit Kingdom knights. "It is finally time that we go to battle! Is everyone prepared?!"
"Yeah!"
"Let's do this thing!"
The cheers from the soldier lifted Leopold's soul a bit. "It's nice to know that we have some backup. I was honestly thinking it would just be me, Levi, and Diablo fighting at first..." He smiled at the scene.
The Teleportation Spirit that was with Leopold and his companions used his power to open a portal that led to the village. Taking one last deep breath, everyone walked through and to what waited on the other side...
A dark haze clouded Leopold's vision for a few moments and when he could finally see again, the sight of the village was finally in view...
"There it is... Still destroyed from the first attack by the bandits..." Leopold observed. He and the Spirits had landed a distance off from the actual village grounds, but he could still make out the massive destruction that lingered from the earlier fight.
The demolished tents and houses...
The singed ground...
The overall smoky air that still remained after a week...
"Truly awful..." he breathed, anger rising up. Leopold tightened the grip he had on his sword's handle and narrowed his eyes. "Alright..."
"So, what's the plan then?" Axel asked from beside Leopold.
The boy looked at him and nodded. He pointed to the Spirit soldiers. "Axel, I want you to take these men and try to sneak around the village to attack from the other side. Don't send the entire force at once though... I would have twenty or so men attack at first and then send in the rest when necessary."
"And what will you do?" the general asked him.
Leopold gritted his teeth. "We will be the first to dispose of these bastards..."

While waiting in the village center with his men, Singe paced back and forth in impatience. "Where the heck is the enemy?! We need to be ready for battle at a moments notice!"
"Still no sign of them?" he asked one of his soldiers.
The man shook his head. "So far we have nothing, sir. I will report to you when one of our scouts spots something."
Singe clicked his tongue. "Damn it... We can't afford to underestimate the enemy! What if they're hiding out in wait?!" He grabbed his sword and walked toward the village's end. "I'll just do this myself!"
