Leopold and Diablo walked down to the courtyard just outside the Spirit Kingdom's castle. Leopold took a deep breath as he prepared for what was to come...

"I'm glad that the king accepted my proposal..."

Flashing back to what had happened not to long before this...

Leopold was now on one knee as he was looked upon by the king of the Spirit Kingdom, also known as his father-in-law. He had sent Diablo to request an audience with the king and to Leopold's relief the king had accepted his proposal.

"I need to do this... For the sake of us all, this needs to be done!"  the boy had told himself over and over again. He tightened the grip he had on his sheathed sword, preparing for what was to come for him.

"Master, there is no need to worry." Diablo assured him. "I have full confidence in your abilities."

"Diablo, the fact that you say that without any real feeling in your words does no help." Leopold told his companion for what felt like the hundredth time now.

"Yay. Go get em."

"PUT SOME EMOTION IN THOSE CHEERS, YOU WEIRDO!"

The blond haired boy sighed at his friend's strangeness and then looked forward. He could finally see a man starting to come into vision... The man was leaning against a column with two swords imbedded into the ground beside him. His black hair swayed in the wind as he looked at the approaching boys.

"I see you finally made it!" he exclaimed, loudly.

"Are you the man we were told to come and see?" Leopold asked him. "The one who would teach us about the "Spirit Arts" and how they work?"

The man laughed as he heard Leopold's question. "That I am, friend!" He picked up one of the sword and pointed it at Leopold. "My name is Axel Reinshiek and I am one of the Spirit Kingdom's top generals!"

"W-Wow... A pleasure, Sir Axel..." Leopold stuttered. "N-Now could you kindly stop pointing that at my face?"

To further explain what was happening, Leopold had asked the king for a favor. To stop these bandits that had attacked him and his friends, Leopold wanted to train his Spirit powers so that he could defeat these foes. He knew somewhat of how to channel this strange energy inside of him, but Leopold had never actually known just how these powers worked.

"I'm hoping that this training with help with that..."

Axel once again laughed as he lowered his sword back to a position of pointing at the ground under the groups feet. "Alright then... Time to get to work!"

A few minutes passed as Axel went to gather some necessary items for the training. When he came back, he once again faced Leopold and Diablo so as to finally begin the training regiment.
