Logan's POV

I could hear them arguing again. They were fighting about something, I was trying to drown them out so I didn't know the whole story. It was probably about my parents again.

It's always about me and my parents. They are always bringing them up. I kinda hated it..no, I definitely hated it. Why couldn't they let it go, and treat me like a normal kid? Not one who still cries over spilt milk. I was better than that now, maybe if they focused on trying to actually raise me they would realize a thing or two.

I wanted to leave this house, just for the night. My grandparents wouldn't even realize.

Hey Ash?
You awake rn?

Ashlyn:
Yeah
I'm awake
What's up?

Logan:
If it's not too much trouble
Could I spend the night
My grandparents are arguing again

Ashlyn:
Mhm
Ofc
The door is always opened for you

I'll be there in a bit

Want to invite Taylor?

I know you like company

Logan:
No
Not today
I don't wanna overwhelm you anyways

I put my phone back down and packed a quick bag. Thanks Ashlyn.

I snuck out the window and made my way towards Ashlyn's house.

We only live a few doors away, well, it a few. It only took around 5 minutes to get there.

5 minutes later-

I made my way there and knocked on the door.

Ashlyn answered and led me upstairs.

I came over to sleep a lot. Her parents did it mind and they all knew what was happening.

"Hey, thanks again." I said

"You know you don't have to do that" she started "you are always welcomed here, now sleep little child before I have to drug you"

"Fine mom, whatever" I mocked the voice of an agnsty teen

I laid down on a pile of blankets on the floor. It was comfier than my bed to be honest. I fell asleep rather fast... wish things were better.
