𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ; 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝

ELEVEN

Charles and Edwin came back from their mirror hopping to find books about Niko's situation "can you show me the book?" Frances asked Charles, in his hands were the book that they needed to figure out what's wrong with Niko "You don't want to look at this" Charles held the book in the air, warning the brunette "I do what I want" Frances jumped up and successfully grabbed the book from his hand "It's your funeral."

Frances opened the book to a random page "holy shit" Crystal quickly shut her eyes once she saw the images in the book, graphic pictures of bugs and centipedes crawling into a mans eyes and mouth "What the hell" Frances flipped to the other page, a picture of a worm crawling into the ears "You're not disgusted?" Charles asked her "No, I've seen some weird shit" Frances closed the pink book and gave it to Edwin 

"Niko is infected with a paranormal parasite." Edwin explained, he gave the pink book back to Charles while he walked to Niko, who was laying in the bed. "Dandelion Sprites." Edwin added on "So- is it like the pictures in the book?" Frances questioned, she hoped not because the images in the book looked horrible and painful. "Similar, yes. They feed on adoration and attention. You see it as the fuzzy pink light you described." When Crystal was looking at her, she saw lights flying around Niko's head, now known as paranormal parasites. 

"They make people look at her, and they eat up all the attention. When they grow strong enough then..." Edwin trailed off "then what?" Crystal asked, wanting to know what happens "they uh... exit the body" Charles answered her question "wait so- do they come out of peoples arse?" Frances raised both of her brows after hearing that they 'exit the body' "They exit any way they can, so  yes, if they can exit from the arse they will." Edwin answered her question "that's gross." 

"Frances,Crystal?" Niko sat up from her bed "What are you two talking about?" Niko asked the two, her eyes glancing to and from the two girls "uh asses?" Frances answered, not wanting to tell her about the paranormal parasites "Why are you two talking about that...?" Crystal sighed "we're not talking about asses, because that's weird." Crystal sat on the edge of Niko's bed "Is it okay If I ask you some questions?" Niko nod her head "of course!"

"Crystal, ask her if she spent any time in woodland areas as of late." Edwin looked down at the pink book, he flipped the page "and were there any graves or decaying bodies near her in the woods?" Frances face scrunched up "What sort of question is that?!" Frances asked Edwin, she didn't want to scare Niko, she didn't know what was happening to her body and asking If there were dead bodies isn't the right type of question to ask. "It is an important question to ask." Frances sighed, not agreeing with him.

"um, when did all of this first start?" Crystal asked, making up her own questions "this is not what I said.." Edwin complained "Oi shut up" Frances rolled her eyes at the annoying ghost boy "Well I guess it was when... I was looking for dandelions." Niko answered the girl, everyone's attention on her.

"When I was little my dad used to say that if you needed a little extra courage a dandelion in your pocket would do the trick. And when you leave Osaka to go live on the opposite end of the globe, you need courage." Niko's face started to develop sweat  after she spoke about her adventure looking for dandelions "I know there's more... I just can't remember."  

"We need her to do better. We need more information if we are to have a fraction of a chance." Edwin stepped away from Niko's bed "Shes trying her best, its traumatic for her" Frances told the formal boy "Who is she talking to?" Niko asked Crystal while staring at Frances "uh- herself." Niko had a smile "oh okay." "back to where we were, think about this place you saw in the woods... Is there anything else about it that seemed odd?" Niko thought for a second before speaking up "The only other thing I remember is some kind of shrine." 

Crystal pulled the two ghost boys away so she could talk to them about Niko and her conversation while Frances kept an eye on Niko. The black haired girl got up from her bed and walked in a straight line "uh guys?" Frances called out her friends name while staring at Niko "What is she doing?" Crystal asked, both of the girls followed Niko to the butcher shop, on top of her head was a bright purple cloud with fuzzy lights around it "wow" Frances looked at it in amazement, it looked so pretty to her "Don't look at the lights" Crystal looked away, Frances snapped back to reality and stopped looking at Niko.

"Niko!" Frances grabbed her right shoulder, soon enough the cloud disappeared with all the lights around it "Why are we downstairs?" Niko was confused "Uh, let's go back upstairs"
