The dead boy detectives were now known as a whole line of people and ghost stood outside of the door, waiting for their cases to get solved. "i'm quite surprised people actually want to see us" Frances spoke as she leaned her back on the corner of the desk where Edwin sat behind "I know right" Charles agreed with her. A lot of ghost who had weird cases walked in, most of them Edwin did not accept due to how stupid they sounded such as a foot that kept appearing in a guys house.
Niko, who now has white hair, walked to the door and opened it after someone knocked on it. An older woman with short black hair wearing a sweater quietly walked in the room and sat on the chair "good morning. How can the dead boy detectives help?" Edwin asked professionally, Frances stopped leaning on the white desk and stood up more straightly.
"My name is Susan. Susan Kessler. My brother-in-law killed my sister and two nieces in 1994... I'm sure you've all heard about the Devlin family murder-" Susan spoke but Crystal cut her off "actually were new in town" Frances heard about the murders before but never had the chance to look at the horrible case. "This was 30 years ago... its still hard to talk about it. My sister's husband snapped, killed his family then himself." Frances took surprised when Susan explained what happened, how could any family do that to each other?
"But there is no inherent supernatural mystery to the murder. We are detectives who solve supernatural mysteries. You already know who the killer is" Edwin told the woman "Someone-something is still inside the house where they died. I inherited the house after their deaths, but could never bring myself to go in. Then after I died last week, I just wanted to visit one last time.... but when I got close I.. I heard screaming inside." Frances turned her head back at Edwin, he looked interested in the case. "Something horrible is still in that house. I have to make sure my family is at peace before I move on" Susan bent down to grab a clear jar with coins inside "Here, i'll pay you" She carefully put the jar on the desk "Thank you Susan for coming to us, we'll consider your case" Frances told her before Susan walked away from the room.
They talked to every ghost that stood outside of the rooms, now all of them had to decide which case to do first. "Lets do the evil seagull, severed foot!" Niko happily said, choosing the case she wanted to do. "Yeah, maybe we should take getting paid into consideration? Some of us have weekly rent due tomorrow" Crystal said, all three of the girls had to pay a totally of 100 dollars for rent, which is a lot of money that they needed. "I think we should do Susan's case" Frances spoke up "I mean its so violent and weird- very supernatural" She added on why they case had to get solved "I agree" Charles got up from his chair and walked to the white board "That's the injustice we fight innit? They can get their rent money and clearing up a 30 year old town mystery is a feather in our cap"
A guy who had the massive headache ran back into the room while screaming "We're closed" Frances tried to stop him, but he didn't listen. "It's splitting my skull in half!" The bearded man yelled and dropped onto the wooden floor, a few moments later his head split opened, it splashed all over Frances, Charles and Edwin "Actually I feel much better" The man happily smiled "sorry about... that" He said before he skipped out of the room. "Oh my God" Frances wiped her face, the gooey substances on her fingers now "Okay i'm going to take a shower" Frances scoffed before waking to the bathroom
