Crystal took the acceptance letter from Frances hand and ripped it up "Good luck finding it now, asshole" The small pieces of white paper fell onto the wooden floor "We need to burn it to make sure the trigger is gone- gone." Frances suggested to them all "Frances, where would we find the lighter?" Edwin looked at her, unamused "uh- you can go through walls- go to the store" Frances shrugged "Better have the papers burnt than just ripped up-"
Hudson stood up with the black remote in his hands "Wait- wasn't the letter the trigger? Why is he here?" Frances questioned Edwin since he was the one that said the letter was the trigger of the whole loop "I'm not sure.." Edwin tilted his head down to the ground, the letter no longer there "told you we should've burnt it."
The dead man bent down to his drawer, unlocked it with his knife and took out the same acceptance letter that Crystal ripped up. Hudson grabbed the TV remove and turned the music all the way up when he heard his ex wife call him down "we need to hurry"
They ran downstairs to the murder scene "guys, who do we stop this bloody loop?" Charles walked to the stairs and sat on the steps, disappointed that ripping the trigger apart didn't work like Edwin said "It should've worked... useless the letter wasn't the trigger." Edwin said while he read his little notebook that he had for overall 70 years "wait... do you guys here that? It's hard to hear with the music.... that!" Crystal pointed up on the ceiling, claiming she heard a clicking sound "really, do try to pay attention" Edwin looked down on his notebook, Charles snapped "Don't slag her off just because you aren't the all knowing expert on everything!"
"Charles! Calm down!" Frances yelled at the teen, trying to ease the tension "How can I calm down?! I'm sick of watching this asshole kill his family a million times for no fucking reason." Charles looked up at her, waiting for her response "You think we like hearing and watching it? Look, we've tried everything, we still are trying-" Charles cut her off mid sentence "Everything that Edwin told us- I still have one solution"
Charles got up from the steps of the stairs and took out his wooden paddle from his small backpack, he stood up behind Hudson "You think you're so big and tough with that axe huh? Big guy killing a bunch of women" Charles attempted to swing his bat at the back of Hudson's head, but he grabbed Charles bat and swung him against the wall "Charles!" Frances ran over to him, making sure he's okay "Shit, you're such an idiot" Frances wrapped her hand around his arm "get up please!" Frances shook him "We need to get him up" Crystal tried to help Charles up, but he wouldn't budge.
The lights turned off with a loud sound coming from upstairs, making the three look up in confusion, once the lights came back on Charles went missing "where did he go?" Frances got up from the ground, looking all over the place to see where the playful boy was, but to her luck he was nowhere "Where the hell did he go?!" Crystal shouted for her friend, Edwin doing the same. They both walked throughout the house while Frances stayed where she was, watching the loop.
Once Hudson came down the stairs, Charles sat on the steps once again "guys I found him!" Frances yelled loudly for everyone "shit you scared us" Crystal wiped her forehead with her palm after running around, Charles then repeated the same thing he told Edwin when he snapped "wait- don't tell me.." Frances watched the ghost boy walk behind Hudson, he swung against the wall like before. "Oh shit"
"Charles!" Frances bent down on the ground near his level "This is what you get for being an twat!" Frances carefully moved her hand to touch him, but Edwin stopped her "stop it!" He grabbed her wrist "You will get stuck in the loop if you touch him"
She clenched her jaw when she realized there's nothing she could do for her friend "would it really matter if I get stuck in the loop?" She softly spoke, tears threatening to spill out from her eye socket "What do you mean? Of course it would." Crystal replied back to her, not knowing what Frances was going on about. "Look. Charles was the first one to invite me to join Dead Boy Detectives. Edwin hated me and you were busy eating a sandwich. He was the first guy that I've met that didn't see me as a weirdo, the first guy who actually thought I was.. normal...." She sniffled "So, I don't want to leave him in this loop alone with murderers, maybe I should join him too?" Edwin and Crystal looked at each other, feeling sorry for the teenage girl with feelings for Charles
"If you're stuck in the loop we won't have another hand to help stop this." Crystal put her hand on Frances back "We need all the help we can get" Frances thought for a moment, Crystal was right. The case was confusing enough, an extra help would be great. "The more the merrier, right?" Frances wiped under her eyes before standing up "Lets solve this piece of shit"
