Frances sat on the wooden chair near the big desk while staring at two teenage boys, a new case. Supposedly, the two jocks got murdered but they can't remember what happened.
"I don't know what happened. We just won the state championship" The white one said while throwing a baseball in the air "it was so sick! it was like.. exactly the plan" The black one took his hands out of his jacket, slightly moving them.
"Sounds like you guys were at the beginning of big things, yeah?" Frances turned her head at Charles, the memories flooding back to her. The night they both shared a kiss still printed inside her brain, the way she ran out of her room made her have a deep regret of doing so, she wished she stayed with him that night but she didn't know how to act, or what to do.
"You believe someone murdered you?" Crystal asked while looking at both of the boys "Cops say it was alcohol poisoning at this party but that's BS. We didn't have more than two or three drinks." The boy with dread locks said truthfully "And look at our eyes" The other one pointed to his eyes, a few lines of blood pouring out "this isn't from alcohol poisoning" Frances tilted her head, it was weird that his eyes were bleeding.
"Give us a moment to discuss." Frances got up from her chair as they all huddled up with each other to talk about the strange case "So, I hate jocks but I kind of like them," Crystal started off the conversation "they're good guys" Charles thought so from their playful personalities "You don't know that though, they could be assholes" Frances spoke up quietly, making sure the others couldn't hear "But you don't know that, do you?" Charles brown eyes met hers, she saw a glimpse of sadness for some odd reason, was it the kiss? Was it her running away from him?
"Whether they are both asses or not, they can pay. We both need the rent, as well as Niko"Crystal said, it was true. Frances needed the rent money so she can have a shelter to feel safe in "I'm in total agreement." Edwin nod his head, they all agreed to help solve the weird case.
"Very well." They broke away from one another, ready to give the news to the jocks "We've divided to help solve your case." The two jocks jumped up in excitement while yelling loudly. Frances cleared her throat loudly "which way will you two be paying?" The two jocks looked at each other before one of them dug in their pockets, taking out a few green dollar bills "this is over 200 dollars I believe?" The jock handed Frances the money, his hand slowly touching hers.
The vision she saw were in the woods, a party taking place. It was quite blurry, but she saw red cups in everyone's hands, laughter and two people kissing on the sofa. Who were the two?
"Woah , you alright? Your eyes just turned white and weird." The black haired jock asked with a weird face expression "i'm fine." Frances gave them both a small smile before Edwin told them to go away so they can solve their case"what did you see?" Crystal went to the side of Frances "A party of some sort. There was alcohol and loud music" Frances explained to the girl, she slowly nod her head "okay... a party. Maybe someone murdered them at a party?" Crystal looked at everyone in the room, making up a possible scenario "But why would anyone want to kill them?" Charles scratched the back of his head while he thought of a reason "Maybe because they were dicks? Most of the time jocks are assholes." Frances shrugged afterwards, those two boys seemed like party people who were douches in their school. "You don't know that though. Stop stereotyping, yeah?" Crystal glanced at both of them with her brows raised, knowing there's some tension between the two.
