Frances, Crystal and Niko walked into the butcher shop to pay their rent, Crystal slammed her glass jar filled with coins on the desk, scaring Jenny "Jesus! Okay what the hell is this?" Jenny looked down at the jar "it's rent" Crystal answered her "My bad, I should've been clear about acceptable forms of payment" Niko slid over her envelop full of stickers towards Jenny "see? Like this. Be more like Niko" Jenny's attention went to Frances, who currently drank a coffee "Oh, yeah here" She placed her coffee down on the counter and got out her wallet, she took out the money she needed for the rent and handed it over "or you can be like Frances." Jenny happily took the money "You may be missing a dollar..." Frances reached for her coffee from the counter "why?" Frances held her hand up "This coffee cost a dollar."
"What am I even supposed to do with this much change?" Jenny questioned "You can make a lot of wishes" Niko suggested "I don't think Jenny believes in that stuff" Frances said before she drank the hot coffee "I believe that I shouldn't have feedback when i'm paying rent."
"Okay, what is your deal?" "Sorry. I've been dealing with shitty stuff with my ex. He's like really in my head. I can take the jar to a coinstar machine"Crystal suggested to Jenny "no it's fine, like Niko said, I can just make a bunch of stupid wishes!" Frances put her coffee back on the counter "or you can buy coffee" Frances looked up at Jenny "does it look like I want coffee?" Jenny asked the teen "I mean.. yeah. You look like you drink hardcore coffee" Jenny's eyebrows raised up "okay because of that, I might raise you rent up."
While the two were talking, Niko grabbed the letter that Jenny was reading before they walked in the shop "Your skin is luminous like the moon at night-" Niko begin to read it "Love letter?" Frances questioned Jenny after she finished reading the sentence "do you have a dirty pen pal?" Crystal added onto the pile of questions "Snail mail sexting?" Jenny snatched the letter from Niko's grip "A, go to hell, B, it's none of your business. and C it's not even a big deal so just go to school" Jenny looked at all of the three girls "at least one of you goes to school.." Frances school her head "Nope, too much trauma for me."
"Jenny, someone sending you love letters is so cool" Jenny got a small brown box, she put the letter back in the pink envelope, afterwards she put the letter inside "You're not going to leave until I explain this even though its private, and go the fuck away?" Niko shook her head in 'no', making Jenny give up "They're from a secret admirer, I have no idea who and that's the entire story" Frances glanced at Niko then back at Jenny "what are you looking at?" Frances smirked "Well... maybe we can find out who's your secret admirer. What if its a super hot person?" Jenny rolled her dark eyes "what if its a fat hairy man who sits at his computer all day?" Frances couldn't help but laugh at Jenny's comment, even though it wasn't supposed to be a joke.
"The letters are nice, they make me feel nice but also they're all typed, which is creepy, serial killer territory. They might as well be letters cut out of magazines. Besides, no one ever turns out to be who you think they are, and its...disappointing." Crystal started to fiddle with her rings on her fingers "no- I get that. I've been thinking about some old memories and i'm starting to realize that I don't even know who I am.. I might be a worse person than I thought.."
"Screw the past, you can be anybody you want. Hell, maybe you can even be somebody with a bank account!" Frances chucked at Jenny's words. "Where are the dead boy detectives!?!?" A ghost walked through the wall, making all three girls jump, Frances threw her empty coffee cup at the ghost but all Jenny saw was a frighten teen throwing a cup at the wall "Okay what is wrong with you three?! And you better not have dropped an inch of coffee on my floor." Frances slowly turned around at Jenny "oops..."
