I'll Set You Free

Chapter Fifteen: It makes sense now...

-"Can you please calm down now?"- Felix asked, they were at the park across the street from the school, they couldn't come back now, so it was better to skip today.

-"You really don't understand, Felix"- Chan said -"He was miserable all summer, he's been crushing on Minho since years ago, and Minho always flirted with him to get his attention and play with him, nothing more than that"- He continued, stopping to catch his breath -"Last june, about two weeks after you left, something happened in a party, with Minho and Jisung, they kissed or whatever, after that Jisung was in love with Minho, he couldn't stop talking about him, and eventually they got even closer... but after they you know"- Chan raised his eyebrows, Felix nodded understanding what he meant -"Minho ghosted him, started ignoring him and avoiding him, it made Jisung feel like shit, how would you feel if you gave your first time away to someone you loved and thought that they loved you and you get ignored afterwards?"- Chan said, he was holding his tears -"I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner, it's just... It wasn't my place to tell you"- He said softly, he kept walking around, Felix sitting looking at him, not talking, he knew Chan wasn't done.

-"So now, all of the sudden they are together? after that? no way, Jisung promised he wouldn't fall for his lies again, he said it! So whatever Minho did or say to convince him otherwise is only to mess with Jisung's mind and feelings, he is probably just bored and wants to play with him!"- He finally said and let himself fall on the grass, he sighed.

-"I understand now, but you can't react like that! especially at school, this could've end so differently and so badly for you, Chan"- Felix said

-"I know"- Chan said tiredly.

-"You can't go around punching people because you are mad at them, that's exactly the reason why i didn't tell you about Matt, you know?"- He said, Chan sat up, looking at Felix with sad eyes.

-"I'm sorry, i'm just worried about him, i don't want him to go through that again, hell! I don't want YOU to go through that again, now with Hyunjin"- He said, Felix rolled his eyes.

-"This is not about me, or about Hyunjin"- He said, getting up and sitting next to Chan on the grass -"You need to understand, Jisung is old enough to make his own choices, he probably thought about this for a lot of time before accepting Minho back"- He said, Chan was looking down, he felt embarrassed.

-"You need to talk to Jisung, apologize to him, say you are happy if he is happy and if Minho hurts him you kill him... I mean it Chan, you better be happy for your friend, and if he gets hurt you'll be there to help him, and to kill Minho"- Felix said, it made Chan smile.

-"What was that you did back there? How did you?"- Chan asked changing the subject, Felix laughed.

-"I saw you once doing it after you karate class a few years ago, never thought i would use it, didn't know it would work"- He said proudly.

-"Oh, it did work! you were scary"- Chan laughed.

The rest of the morning they stayed in the park, Felix wanted to go home as they were going to skip all day, but Chan wanted to wait for his friend to get out of class, he wanted to talk to Jisung as soon as possible. He felt extremely guilty about how things went down. He also needed his girlfriend's company, he felt miserable, if it wasn't for Felix he would feel even worse, If it wasn't for Felix he would probably be in jail after murdering Minho.

Hyunjin spent all day thinking about everything that happened earlier, he kept thinking about Felix, he missed him, he thought about how mad Chan was, and how he got even more mad after Hyunjin said his name, he probably shouldn't have said it.
He thought about Minho and Jisung, he was so happy for his friend earlier when he confessed he was officially dating Jisung, he finally gave love a chance, and then boom! Chan had to ruin it being all beast like that. He never saw him like that, hell! he never saw Felix like that, they way he tackled him down, his voice when he screamed, it made Hyunjin's mind go wild, like that was hot!

But didn't matter now, after the four boys left abruptly, Jamie told Changbing and Seungmin everything, things that even Hyunjin didn't know.
She said that last summer Minho and Jisung were together and after a "one night stand" Minho ghosted him, breaking Jisung's heart, and now after Chan found out they were together, he went crazy mad. She explained that last summer Jisung was miserable and that Chan hated not being able to help him, and after that he just couldn't stand Minho.

Hyunjin didn't deny anything she said, but that wasn't really how things went down, not on his friend's side...

It did went down like that actually, but the motives as to why, those only Minho and Hyunjin knew. They asked him, he simply said that he was aware of everything, he didn't know Jisung was so miserable, though, and said it was Minho's life, and he couldn't say much. Not like he would gave his friend's secrets away so easily.

But hearing what his friend's actions made Jisung feel, he felt bad. Maybe that's why Chan was so upset about Felix and Hyunjin. He is protecting Felix from one of Minho's friends, it makes sense now.
