Chapter Twenty Three: I Have To Go

After the amazing weekend Felix and Hyunjin had, it was time to go back to the sad reality, Hyunjin had to go back to his house on Sunday afternoon, Felix felt sad, but also it was the right thing to do, they just started dating and already living together? that's not how things are supposed to go.

At school everyone seemed happy, without the terrible feeling that something bad could happen at any moment. Felix enjoyed class with his friends, their biggest concern now was passing finals in two weeks, after that Felix would leave to spend Winter break with his family.

It was wednesday already, Jisung, Jeongin and Felix were sitting together talking about what to gift Chan, his birthday was right before exams, like the weekend before. They were discussing something music equipment, some clothes and others things, they couldn't agree what to give him.

Hyunjin walked with Minho towards the trio, he sat next to Felix, pushing himself on Felix, this one laughed -"I'm going to fall because of you"- He said smiling, Hyunjin rolled his eyes -"I thought you already fell for me"- He said smirking, Felix blushed.

-"What are you talking about? You seemed to be arguing"- Minho asked, pushing Jisung's hair behind his ear.

-"Chan's present, we don't know what to choose"- Jeongin said looking at his phone, ignoring the two couples being all cheesy.

-"Maybe clothes?"- Minho asked not really interested.

-"No, it must be something he really want, i was thinking about this music board that we saw at the mall a while ago"- He said, Jeongin gave him his phone right as he finished, he found the item on google.

-"See? this one!"- Felix said showing Jisung the phone, his eyes widened -"Have you seen the price?"- He said annoyed.

The boys continued bickering, Hyunjin and Minho stared at them, watching them playfully fight made both of them realize how happy those two made them.
Jeongin was just on his phone ignoring the four.

Hyunjin felt something vibrating on his leg, it was Felix's jacket, he looked through and found his phone, a call was on the screen, the word "Mom" showing up, Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat. He touched Felix's shoulder getting his attention, the blonde boy turned around to see his phone, his face changed drastically, from playing and smiling to worry. Jisung stopped talking when he saw his face, Jeongin's lifte his head at the sudden silence.

-"I'll be right back"- Felix said grabbing the phone and walking away from the group, just as Changbin, Seungmin and Chan were walking towards them, Chan saw Felix and followed him, ignoring that Felix wanted to talk alone, Hyunjin thought about doing the same but he didn't, he didn't want to overwhelm Felix.

-"Everything okay?"- Seungmin asked, clearly noticing the tension that built up. -"Don't know yet"- Jisung said, not taking his eyes off of Felix, he slowly stood up, everyone followed him with their eyes and then he ran, Hyunjin turned around, Felix was almost on the floor, Chan grabbed him, holding him up, Jisung got there and helped him, they both asked Felix, he was crying.

Hyunjin ran there, the moment he got there, Chan and Jisung let go of Felix, as the blonde boy looked up he pulled Hyunjin for a hug, Chan was crying too, Jisung about to, Hyunjin and Felix hugging, everyone was surrounding them, Changbin asking what was going on, Jeongin asking Felix what happened, Minho asking if it was about Rachel, just as he said her name Felix broke down screaming softly into Hyunjin's chest, everyone looked at Minho, he looked down feeling guilty, Jisung grabbed his arms, telling him not to worry.

-"I have to go"- Felix said, he pulled away from the hug, looked at Hyunjin, he was trying to wipe his tears.
-"Rachel is not doing well, they don't know what could happen, they don't have high hopes... I have to go"- He said crying again, Hyunjin tried pulling him for a hug, Felix refused.

-"I have to go now, mom said the plane leaves in tonight, around 8:00, I have 4 hours"- He said, he tried to calm down walking back to table, picked up his bag.

-"I know you want to help me, but i have to go, i need to be with my family, i will call you and text you about everything, i'll keep you updated"- He said, Hyunjin couldn't do anything, he nodded, he wanted to go so badly with him, but he knew he couldn't. -"I'll be back before next week, she said"-Referring to his mom.

Chan walked closer to him, he told him something but no one heard it, Felix nodded and he walked towards the group, he stopped in front of Hyunjin and kissed him, it was soft and short, he could barely breathe with all the crying, Hyunjin nodded as the pulled apart. They seemed to be able to communicate without talking.

And he just stayed there with the rest of his friends watching Felix leave with Chan following him, Chan turned around and smiled at Hyunjin, he felt better knowing Felix wasn't alone, he had his best friend with him.

They were seated next to each other on the plane, thank god, Chan thought, he wasn't sure he would be able to get a ticket in the same plane as Felix, it didn't take long to convince his parents, as soon as they heard Felix talk about his sister, they agreed that Chan had to go with him, no way he would go through it all alone. Chan loved his parents for loving Felix that way.

-"Everything will be alright, Lix"- Chan said holding the blonde boy's hand, Felix nodded, he was trying not to cry all the flight, he was struggling so hard, could he just have a quiet life? it didn't seem like it was possible for him.

Before they knew it, they were in Australia, for Felix only two month passed since the last time he was here, for Chan it was almost two years, he was excited to be there, seeing everything made him feel better, but knowing the reason of the visit just made everything feel less important.

The only thing that mattered to him was Felix.
They both took a deep breath as they got inside de taxi
-"Could you please take us to The Royal Prince Hospital?"- Chan said, the man driving nodded his head and took them there.

They got out, bags with him, they both looked at the big building, they looked at each other, breathe in, Chan gave Felix a nod, and they walked in.
