Chapter 26

I rushed back home to change. My sister wasn't there so I texted her.

E🥭 : Where are you?

Since she didn't answer right away I guessed that she was still immersed in her work. We tend to hyperfocus in the same ways sometimes... Her brand was launching soon and she had taken a lot of time to help me throughout the past weeks... I should think of a way to help her too. I saw that Charlotte had texted me the address of the bar and I thanked her, telling her that I would meet with Nudee before going there.

I took a really quick shower and put on an outfit that made me feel good and a little bit sexy. My black jeans were hugging me just the right amount to enhance my ass and my blouse was just revealing enough. I did my makeup as fast as I could because I was already running late. I didn't want Nudee to send a search party after me...

As the taxi bike sped through the streets I received some texts from P'Daad.

I smiled. I definitely needed to find a way to support her.

The driver stopped his motorbike at Siam Square where Nudee was already waiting for me with another girl.

"Finally!"

"Hello to you too." I teased, hugging her.

"I almost sent the cops to your place! Engfa, this is Tina, a fellow model. Tina, this is Engfa, one of my best friends." Nudee said as she introduced us.

We both bowed politely.

"You guys missed each other on New Year's Eve. Tina joined us a little bit after you ran away with Charlotte. And she's the one who took Heidi home." she explained, winking.

"Nudee! I thought Engfa was her boss!" Tina said, pushing my friend slightly.

"I am. That's ok though. Heidi can do whatever she wants out of work. I'll act as if I don't know anything private about her, don't worry."

"Yadda yadda yadda... Let's go, they got there early and were almost late!" Nudee said, starting to walk away from us.

Tina and I followed her through Siam Square. After a few minutes we arrived in front of a beautiful bar covered in pink flowers and neon lights.

"What is this place?" I asked.

"You're gonna love it!" Tina said while Nudee talked with the bouncer.

He let us in. Another man led us up a stairwell and through a few rooms towards our table. Heidi, Charlotte and her friends were indeed already there, drinking champagne.

"Seriously guys I was thinking that we might have to go home after two drinks... this place is way above my pay raise." Heidi was saying when we approached them.

I couldn't let the opportunity pass without teasing her since she didn't see me arriving behind her.

"Would you like to schedule a meeting with me and HR to discuss your salary, Heidi?"

She jumped a little and I smiled.

"Erm... no, I'm good. Thanks!" she replied before whispering something to Charlotte.

She was absolutely stunning. Even if I could only see her from the back. She was wearing a tiny black dress, showing off her long long legs... I wanted to stop looking but I couldn't. My eyes raked along from her side to the boots she had paired her dress with. Nudee pushed me gently, stopping my transe. I looked up and walked past Charlotte to sit in front of her. I didn't dare to kiss her in front of everyone, even if I wanted to. Especially in front of Heidi. Her friends greeted us and Meena even winked at me. Maybe she saw me staring...

"Do you want to trade seats with me, Charlotte? I wouldn't want you to feel jealous..." Nudee said to her after sitting at the end of the table, being quite literally in between the two of us.

I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. I should have known Nudee was going to tease us... I coughed a little bit and turned to my left.

"Aoom, could you serve a glass of Champagne to Tina and hand me the bottle after, please?"

"Yeah, of course!" she replied.

I tried to focus on what she was doing but my ears couldn't stop listening to Charlotte and Nudee.

"I'm good, thanks... I'm sorry if I was cold with you on New Year's Eve, Nudee." Charlotte said to her.

"Apology accepted! You owe me, Charlotte, but I'll bribe you later. Let's toast again!"

"Here." I said, giving my friend a glass of champagne too.

We drank and chatted lightly for a while. Aoom and Meena were really nice. I was happy to have a chance to meet them for real. It gave me a chance to know more about Charlotte. Their dynamic was cute and fun. They were indeed a couple, as I guessed two days ago. Meena would tease Aoom a lot. Aoom would react in a flash, whining about it or playing shock when in reality it was crystal clear that she loved it.

In front of them, Heidi and Tina were on cloud 9. They were sitting so close to each other that they wouldn't have been closer if one was sitting on the other... I wasn't offended though. I was kinda jealous... but I would never have dared to do the same with Charlotte in front of people that I didn't know... or that I knew... And either way I couldn't even do it if I wanted to because Nudee was in the way...

As I looked at her, I realized that Nudee was completely hypnotized by the bartender mixing cocktails at our table. He had arrived a few minutes prior and it seemed that she couldn't look away. Heidi and Tina were openly watching him too, even though they were right next to him. So it was my time to tease back.

"Nudee, you're drooling."

She snapped out of it quickly and looked at me with a mischievous smile.

"Well at least I don't know his name so I'm not moaning it in my sleep.... Mmmm... aaah... Charloooootte!" she faked moaned so loud.

I turned so red that I felt my cheeks burning. I smacked her arm... hard. She deserved it.

"Shut up!" I almost yelled, looking away because everybody was looking at me.

"I'm only telling the truth!" she winked.

I couldn't look back at them. Especially at Charlotte. I needed to regain some composure but it was like my karma had abandoned me.

"Damn..." Heidi said, frowning.

"What's the matter?" Meena asked her, sounding worried.

"I had the perfect comeback to what Nudee just said!" she sounded really devastated and even took her head in her hands.

This couldn't mean anything good for me... But I knew I had to go through it now...

"Well, tell us already!" Aoom joined.

"I can't! Engfa is my BOSS!" Heidi replies, looking so conflicted.

"I can cover my ears if you want..." I said, hiding my face some more.

"No, it's not fun if you don't blush at the joke... there's no point..."

"Do you want to tell me so I can repeat it and take the blame?" Nudee offered like she was some sort of a saint.

Those girls were going to end me...

"I... I wanted to say that you like to moan Charlotte's name but she also likes it when you can't... Especially when she was knuckle deep inside you on a plane full of sleeping passengers." Heidi blurted out and then hid her mouth with her hand.

"Heidi!" Aoom and Charlotte yelled in sync.

I couldn't help but look at Charlotte. As our eyes met I could see us both remembering the flight back from New York. I got even redder and she joined me as her cheeks changed color too. We both looked away but it was already too late, our small interaction had given us away...

"No way! You joined the Mile High Club?" Meena asked, offering a high five to Charlotte.

And to my surprise, she owned it and slapped her friend's hand up high. Damn... I was kinda proud too now...

"Damn, girl! You don't look like it but you're a freak." Tina added.

"T... Thanks." Charlotte replied politely as more red gained her face.

There was no more point in hiding. So I coughed a bit and tried to own it too while Nudee was laughing her ass off next to me. We cheered again over our cocktails and the conversation led us somewhere else.

A few glasses later, the girls were talking about their next destination for work. Japan. And a friend of theirs that they were gonna meet there. I had always wanted to go to Tokyo but the occasion never presented itself.

Charlotte was whining to Aoom, voicing her jealousy when it came to having a chance to travel and their mutual friend. She was damn cute when she was complaining... She was cute all the time to be honest... she was cute in that dress too... no... she was... sexy as hell. Damn those cocktails were getting the best of me.

"If we could, we would take you with us..." Aoom started to explain to Charlotte but she got cut off by Meena.

"If we could... we would kidnap both of you..." she said as her glossy eyes looked at me.

I wasn't the only one to be shaken up by the cocktails apparently...

"... and we would take you far away from your problems... and you could let your love bloom like sakura flowers..." she said, sobbing suddenly.

Her words touched me. She didn't know me. Charlotte must have confessed to her friends what was going on between us.... And I got moved by her supporting us so straightforwardly.

"Aww baby! Don't cry, I love you so much!" Aoom said, kissing her girlfriend to comfort her while she sobbed too.

And then, as if we weren't 7 people around the table... in a busy bar... they started to make out. Like for real. Moaning and all that jazz... A lot of different emotions went through me to be honest. I was shocked for sure... and I also was still moved by Meena's words... and I was feeling kind of turned on too...

I naturally looked back at Charlotte who asked me silently if I was ok. I nodded before I extended my leg under the table, brushing against her ankle. I couldn't help but blush. I felt like a teenager when I was with her. The tiger-flies were roaring happily, like they were proud of me. Charlotte gazed intensified. I smirked cockly even though I was only half sure of my move here and I took another sip of my cocktail, hoping to get some more strength from it.

The girls were talking around us but I couldn't hear a thing. My focus was only on what was happening under the table and the blush spreading on Charlotte's face as she responded to my touch.

And then I realized that the only ones left at the table were Aoom and Meena, who were still making out... and us. I needed to be alone with Charlotte right now. So I got up trying to give her a hint.

"I... I need to go to the restroom." I said, stuttering.

I walked away from the table and turned around, signaling Charlotte to follow me. And I was so so soooo glad that she got up and sped to catch up with me.

Once locked in one of the restrooms, we kissed like we didn't need to breathe. I should have kissed her when I got to the table... I craved her so bad. A few minutes later, I found myself on my knees, my head under her dress, my fingers caressing her thighs. I sighed... but she was right. Two minutes later we made our way back to the table. We tried to look like nothing happened. Obviously Nudee didn't wait long before teasing us, even making me doubt that I had zipped up my pants... And I fell for it like a dumb dumb. If the content smiles on our faces hadn't given us away already, Nudee's move made it certain. The girls laughed but they didn't make a big deal out of it. I was relieved that they were accepting us even though I was Heidi and Charlotte's manager.

When we got out I managed to kiss Charlotte goodnight, in front of the group... Well, after I asked Heidi to cover her eyes... Which she did because she was a little bit too drunk to think beforehand. As tipsy as I was, I knew I had to think of a way to act around Charlotte and her when we would be back at work... We exchanged a few more words with the girls before everybody started to leave. That's when Charlotte approached me and leaned towards my ear.

"I love you." she whispered, her hand around my waist.

I shouldn't have stopped writing. Now that I'm back at it I'm realizing how much I had missed it. It really helps me calm down my crazy ass brain when life gets rough...
