READER'S POV

Hi my name is (F/n) (L/n). I turned 18 not that long ago and I'm going to graduate from Highschool next year. I'm an expert when it comes to hand to hand combat such as karate and takewando. I won a few competitions in these matches and I'm quite proud of myself for achieving this. I'm also a bit of a nerd who love video games and I love art. There's something amazing about watching the behind the scenes on how the games are created and developed. First time I started playing them was Crash banditcoot and a few other games that were suitable to little kids back then. I'm also impressed how much the technology has evolved over the years as well. Makes me wonder what kind of softwares or technology they use to bring the characters to life and how the storyline is developed.

I decided to become a video game designer at the age of 13 and my little brother Dylan, is my biggest supporter and fan. He even made me swear that if and when I do create my first video game, he wants to be the first person to try it out. That is if it's suitable for him since he's only 5 years old. He even gave me some of his drawings for inspiration and whenever he did, I transformed them into proper characters. Dylan and I are different compared to your average siblings.

You see, after my mother had me, the doctors told her the possibility of her getting pregnant again was slim because they had to do a C-section on her. Apparently, she had a difficult time giving birth to me the natural way. But then one day, she discovered that she was pregnant with Dylan. She was overjoyed when she found out about this but, during her pregnancy, she was ill all the time. By the time she was 7 months pregnant, she went into early labour and Dylan was a premature birth. We were all worried he wasn't going to make it because he was so small and weak but, he proved all of us wrong after he fought for his life and now, he's a happy and healthy boy.

Aside from the things that were going on right now, my life is good and I'm doing everything I can to make sure that I follow my dreams. But little did I know, something was about to happen to me that was about to change my life forever.

Right now, I got ready for school and I headed into Dylan's room to check on him. I opened the door to see him rubbing his tired eyes before he smiled at me.

"Good morning, big sis!"

"Good morning, little bro. Ready for school?" I asked him as he got out of bed and then I helped him make it.

"I am! especially since you're dropping me off today!" Dylan smiled. He loves it whenever I take him to school especially since mum works a night shift at the hospital and is always tired afterwards.

While Dylan got ready for the day, I headed down the stairs to make breakfast. I scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. I heard footsteps and turned around to see Dad carrying Dylan into the kitchen.

"Morning, Dad. Wow, you look tired. Long night at the office again?" I asked him.

"Yeah...*yawns*" Dad yawned after he placed Dylan on his chair. I served breakfast and then I joined them at the dining table.

"Where's mummy?" Dylan asked as he ate his meal.

"She's still sleeping buddy. Don't disturb her," Dad told him and then he nodded his head.

"That reminds me, (Y/n), have you heard anything from the law school I applied for you?" Dad asked.

I sighed in defeat and told him, "I did and its another rejection letter."

"What?!" Dad spoke before I showed him the rejection letter and then he read over the contents which explained why I wasn't accepted.

"No experience or qualifications met the criteria? how is that possible? I made sure that you had plenty of experience at our law firm and one of my friends made sure that you got some experience at their workplaces," Dad spoke with a small frown.
