READER'S POV

I found myself back in the waking world and then the Lord Seeker, who is actually Envy, has transformed into his true form. It fell backwards after I broke free from its control before landing onto the ground. Every templar in the hall was shocked when they saw this before Envy slowly stood up and shrieked at us before it turned into a cloud of smoke.

"Oh no you don't!" I shouted before I quickly drew my daggers and charged towards it. I leapt into the air and tried to stab it but, it quickly turned into smoke and then it flew away before I could land a hit on it.

"Rats! it got away!" I grumbled as I stood up from the ground after trying to stab the envy demon.

"The Lord Seeker!" I heard Ser Barris shout.

"No, an imposter," I told Barris before sheathing my daggers.

Barris frowned and then he looked in the direction where Envy had flown to and said, "That monster ensured that we weren't prepared. I still don't know what we're up against."

Before I could answer that question, I looked around the room and noticed that Cole wasn't with me.

"Did anyone else see a young man appear beside me?"

"What young man?" Barris asked.

"Pale, strangely dressed. He was with me?" I told him.

"I saw no one. The Lord seeker was alone when when you revealed his true nature."

I looked at the others and they shook their heads. I looked at Ser Barris and told him, "That thing who was supposed to be the Lord Seeker is called an Envy demon. Apparently, it has taken a fancy to me."

"Envy? Then the Lord Seeker..." Cassandra spoke with a shocked expression.

"Is caged or dead. Maker," Barris spoke up.

'No, he's still alive. But, I'm not going to tell him that. I'll let Cassandra work that one out later on,' I thought to myself before Barris continued.

"And my captain knew. Its Red lyrium, isn't it? I knew that wretched stuff was risky! They often give us a new batch of Lyrium. Our commanders...some used the red stuff first, to prove it was harmless. The knights would've been next. The demon turned our leaders so we couldn't question when this started!"

"I hate to say this; your leaders all but corrupted the templars for the demon."

"Then we will fix it."

"How?" I asked Barris before he turned to one of the knights.

"Templar! what is envy?"

"A coward, brother!"

"It studies, makes less mistakes. But most of all, it hides," A female templar spoke.

Barris turned to look at me and said, "We need our veterans. Our commanders have turned, but the lieutenants may still be fighting. We'll hold the hall. You find the lieutenants and the uncorrupted lyrium stores. Bring them here and I'll give you Envy."

Barris turned around and told his men, "Show those things no mercy."

"Understood. Let's go!" I told the others before we rushed out of the hall and headed for the fight.

We fought against so many of the red templars and saved the Lieutenants as Ser Barris suggested. We had to run back and forth between the hall and the fighting to get the lyrium as requested. At one point, we got to the Lord Seeker's room to collect a key for the lyrium the templars need. I opened the door and went inside only to stop in my tracks when I saw the mess. Papers were scattered across the floor, blood or red paint was on the walls and it looked like Envy had drawn some creepy looking eyes. What also creeped me out was the statue of Empress Celene with a note stabbed on her head.
