READER'S POV
We arrived back at Skyhold and Dylan had a smile on his face. I guess he enjoyed his day out with his big sister. Dylan looked at me and said, "Thanks for bringing me along today, big sis! I had fun, aside from the fighting."
"Hehe, you're welcome, buddy. But that will be the last time you'll be tagging along with me."
"I know. I don't want to get in the way. You always make sure that I'm safe," Dylan grinned.
I smiled back at him and then Dorian commented, "Aww, what a responsible big sister."
"Hey, its my job. Besides, if anything happened to Dylan, I wouldn't forgive myself and mum will most likely kill me," I mumbled that last part which made the others chuckle.
We got off our horses' backs before Dylan and I headed over to the stables with Blaze and Ginger. I lead Blaze into his stable and Dylan did the same with Ginger before I took off Blaze's tack. I saw the sweat coming off him and there's still bits of sand on his coat.
"Sheesh, you worked up quite the sweat, Blaze. Not to mention you've got sand all over you," I commented as I petted his neck as some of the sand to come off.
"He's not the only one. Ginger looks like a sand-pony," Dylan commented before Ginger shook his head which caused some of the sand to come off his mane which made Dylan chuckle.
"Make sure you give Ginger a good brush, Dylan," I told him and nodded his head before we got to work.
While I was giving Blaze's coat a good brush, Dylan asked me, "Hey big sis?"
"Hm?"
"Just out of curiosity, do you...like Cullen?"
"Of course I like him. He's my friend and advisor."
"No, I mean do you like-like Cullen? You know, the same way how Mummy and daddy like-like each other," Dylan asked which made me blush.
"What on earth gave you that idea and why are you suddenly bringing this up?" I asked with a hint of blush on my cheeks.
"I'm just curious because I saw you two together in the garden playing chess and you seem so happy."
I was surprised when he said this and he wasn't wrong about that. Since I met Cullen and started to spend some time with him, I've been smiling a lot recently and he makes me happy. I don't know why but, I like it.
"You're grinning. That means you like him," Dylan smirked which made me blush and glare at him.
"I am not! and anyway, I shouldn't be having this conversation with a 5 year old. You're not old enough to know what goes on with a relationship."
"I may be 5 but I'm not stupid. I know the look you give to Cullen. That's the same look Mummy gives to daddy when they're happy," Dylan smiled as he went to brushing Ginger's coat.
I stood there with a surprised expression and I thought to myself, 'How the hell does he notice these things?!'
After we finished grooming our horses, we went inside the building and then I went into my room to get changed. I changed out of my armour and got changed into the vivacity outfit. I brushed my hair to get rid of the knots out of my hair and then I tied some of my hair back with a (F/c) hair ribbon while leaving the rest of it down. Since Cullen's comment, I decided to tie my hair back into a ponytail for my adventures while leaving my hair down at Skyhold. It has become my signature look now.
I looked at myself in the mirror and fixed my hair that was left down and making sure the hair ribbon is secured before I thought about Cullen and the moments we've shared. Chatting at Haven, training together, comforting me after the fight with the envy demon, looking after me when I was injured, confessing his lyrium addiction and playing chess in the garden. Those moments have become so precious to me.
