Drown me, dear love, in your endless stream

It feels incredibly comforting and warm—a sensation I hadn't realized how much I needed until now. For so long, I've been ignoring the desires of my heart in favor of what my mind deemed logical. I have always chased after societal status and shaped myself to fit into certain molds, forgetting what it truly means to feel human—to experience emotions beyond pursuing success.

Though I am blessed with a supportive family who always stands by my side, this connection with him feels even more intimate and personal. It's a feeling I struggle to put into words; it feels as if it belongs solely to me, as if I have the exclusive right to feel this way in his arms. Only I have the right to breathe in his calming, warm, musky scent, filling my senses with tranquility. Only I have the right to feel the comforting warmth of his embrace and to hear the rhythmic beat of his heart.

As his fingers gently caress my hair, each touch feels like melting chocolate—soothing and indulgent. His steady breathing acts as a gentle lullaby to my ears, calming my anxious nerves, while his rapid heartbeat serves as a reassuring rhythm, grounding me in the present moment. Resting my head against his chest, I feel his lean, muscular arms wrap around me, holding me close in a protective embrace. We remain like this for what feels like an hour, lost in the comfort and serenity of each other's presence.

"Romeo?" I call.

"Hmm?"

"Thanks."

"Thanks for what, darling?"

"Thanks for comforting me. You don't know how much I need this." I sit up, and so does he. I look at him with admiration. "I... I have a problem with opening up to people, even in front of my family. I often get anxiety attacks, and every time I console myself because I don't feel I should let them know about those. I always think it will bother them. I reject myself before trying to connect."

"But you are the person I... I can finally let myself be vulnerable with. Romeo! You're an angel!"

He looks at me with an intense gaze I can't fully comprehend. With a smirk, he nods and hugs me. "Now I'm here, darling. You have nothing to fear now." Then he kisses me.

"Mmm, Romeo, I have to go now, please."

Groaning, he releases me lazily and asks, "Where to?"

"You know Rolf's wedding is coming up, so I have to go home to help my family." He pouts. Merlin, this man will make me diabetic with these expressions!

"Don't give me your cute pout, please." I kiss him deeply.

He chuckled and pressed his lips to mine for the second time. Sighing, he said, "Okay, fine, love, but I'll accompany you. Don't trust anyone who might hurt you again." I blushed and nodded before going to the bathroom to change.
When I came out, he was already dressed and talking with Lucius Malfoy. He smiled at him, giving him a fatherly pat on the shoulder. Sitting beside them was Scorpius, wearing a sad expression.

"Good morning, Mr. Malfoy!" I greeted.

Romeo turned to me with affectionate eyes. "Kitty, I told Uncle Lucius about your departure. No need to be tense about it, but we have a little problem here." He gave me a meaningful look, and I glanced at the grumpy Scorpius.

"Apparently, my little nephew is feeling sad and grumpy because his favorite professor is going to leave," Romeo explained.

"I'm sad too, Scorp," he said softly, but Scorpius kept looking down.

Aww, my poor heart! I thought. I knew he was struggling to express his feelings. He only opened up to a few people, and from day one, he felt like a son to me. I crouched down in front of him.

"Scorp? Look at me, dear. Ah, don't cry! I'm only going to my house!"

He muttered, "But I'll miss you, Professor."

"I have to go, Scorp, to help my family. But that doesn't mean we can't see each other. Whenever you want, you can visit my house. Just tell your uncle, grandpa, or... Dad." I whispered the last part.

"Promise?" he asked.

"100 percent," I replied, ruffling his hair. "Now wipe your tears, because I can't leave if you're sad."

He smiled and dried his eyes. I smiled back and said my goodbyes to Lucius and Scorpius before we apparated from Malfoy Manor to Scamander Mansion.
