A thick wall of white mist lingered above the water, the boat's bowsprit cutting through it as they fluidly sailed along. Po and Tai Lung were the first people onboard being already up and were helping out the captain to look out for any sign of the mainland. It had become rather dangerous to sail through a mist as thick as this one, so the captain needed all the help he could possibly get.

Although every ten minutes, the waves around the boat would get wild and agitated, making them fear there something was lurking around the boat and spying on them. But the captain reassured them that the area they were sailing in had no sea residents, nor any sea crooks. Despite all their suspicions, they reluctantly took his word.

Po had and was still trying to keep Tai Lung's huffy grumbling at a low volume, for Daiyu was sitting curled up against the mast with a blanket around her, completely crashed out as her claws were nailed deeply into the wooden base of the mast. Tai Lung's grumbling only added volume.

"Keep your voice down, man. There's people onboard still trying to sleep." Po shushed him.

"I don't see how that's my problem. We've got to get up early anyway." Tai Lung cracked his back, stretching his limbs and waking up his whole body to ready himself. He then said.

"And before I forget, I must tell you. If I were you, I wouldn't trust the fox."

"Zhen? What do you mean?" Po asked.

"There's something off about her." Tai Lung told him. "Me and your friend had been talking about it last night and I thought you should know too."

"Well, I trust her to keep her word and to prove her honesty and willingness to help us." Po replied, Tai Lung snorted.

"Big mistake, panda. You'll see."

Po sighed deeply, before asking.

"Why were you so desperate to become the Dragon Warrior? Why were you trying so hard to force a destiny onto yourself that was never meant for you in the first place?"

"Listen." Tai Lung growled lowly into Po's face. "Since the day I could walk and before I could even speak, I was already training my tail off every day of my whole entire life. I worked until my knuckles bled, I worked until my bones were nothing but pulp and I kept pushing through. And I'm supposed to be okay with getting shoved to the sidelines and seeing you get it when you've never worked as hard for it?"

Po's frown softened as Tai Lung carried on his embittered venting while deriding Po as well.

"Then tell me, panda. If you claim that the title of the Dragon Warrior, that Shifu's promise for ultimate greatness, was not my destiny, then what is my destiny? What is my true destiny if you're the real Dragon Warrior?"

Knowing how many impossible things Shifu had promised him as a cub, how much he got pushed around and how much false hope was given to him, Po felt a pit in his stomach. It was either guilt or pity, but he knew how Tai Lung never got the chance to form his own person and decided to cut him some slack.

Glanced back at Daiyu, who was still asleep against the mast, Po took his time to come up with an answer to soothe the snow leopard's racing mind and to be certain about his actual purpose in the future. And eventually, he turned his attention back toward Tai Lung and cleared his throat.

"Well, um... You see, Tai Lung. I once learned that you don't have to be just one thing. You can be many things at once and still be great. I mean, you're already the greatest kung fu master in China's history, a master of legend and you were once called a Miracle of Kung Fu and on top of that, Shifu's greatest student. How much greater than that do you want to be, bud?" Po paused when Tai Lung's hackles rose, but he kept going.
