It was May, and with it came the long-awaited Met Gala, an event that had always been a showcase of glamour and style. However, for Brooklyn and Alex, the month was marked by unexpected tension. The recent controversy over Calvin Harris' song "This Is What You Came For," a song Brooklyn had written but released without her consent, had created a rift in their relationship. The situation had left Brooklyn with a sense of betrayal that she had yet to fully process. Throughout the month, the emotional distance between them grew, and concern for the future of their bond took hold of both of them.

In the midst of this whirlwind of emotions, Alex had received a call that would change the course of her next month. She had been summoned to the international camps, where it would be decided who would be the players to represent the country at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, but it also meant that she would have to leave Brooklyn at a time when she needed her most.

"I'm sorry, Brooke. I wish I could stay with you, but..." Alex said with a mix of sadness and resolve, as she packed her things to leave.

Brooklyn, though hurt by the situation, tried to show understanding, though her voice trembled as she answered.

"I understand, Al. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." she replied, fighting the anguish she felt in her chest.

But as soon as the door closed behind Alex, the silence in Brooklyn's house became deafening. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. She missed Alex more than she could put into words, and the conflict with Adam continued to weigh on her soul. Music, which had once been a means of escape, now only evoked memories of the song she had written with so much love, and the betrayal she felt at seeing it come to life without her consent.

Meanwhile, at the international camps, Alex gave herself completely to her training, hoping to earn a place on the Olympic team. She knew this might be her last attempt at fulfilling her dream, but she also felt the heavy burden of uncertainty weighing on Brooklyn, knowing how difficult it would be for her to face everything without her support. Every time she finished a training session, she couldn't help but think of her beloved, worried about how she would feel during this crucial time.

As the date of the Met Gala approached, Brooklyn found herself caught between fear and determination. She knew she had to attend the event, face the public gaze, and endure the inevitable media questions about her relationship with Alex and her controversy with Adam. Anxiety was overwhelming her, but she also knew she couldn't allow herself to give in to the pressure.

The night of the Met Gala had arrived, and with it, the promise of dazzling lights, flashing cameras, and endless curious glances. Brooklyn and Alex were invited, but the glow of the occasion couldn't dispel the nerves they both felt.

Despite being in the same place, they were getting ready in separate dressing rooms. The echo of laughter and voices from other guests filled the air, but for them, the distance felt almost insurmountable. They had decided to keep their relationship away from the public eye, and although it was a shared choice, it still weighed on them.

In Brooklyn's dressing room, the reflection in the mirror looked impeccable. Her custom-made dress fell like a cascade of elegance, but her hands trembled slightly as she adjusted it. The murmur of the attendees was barely background noise against the whirlwind of thoughts in her head. She forced herself to take a deep breath. She knew that, once again, she would have to face the avalanche of cameras and questions alone, and that idea was overwhelming.
